We were looking for a quiet couple's get away, to celebrate the 2016 New Year. We got what we wanted and much more at The Crossing by Grasslands National Park. Neil & Susan our hosts are the greatest! Very friendly, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. They told us stories of the wildlife in the area - deer, coyotes,... More

This was my second stay at Grasslands and my first time with the new owners, Neil and Susan, who were friendly and really helpful. My accommodation was clean and well outfitted for light housekeeping, which is what I wanted. Bed was very comfortable. This is a superb location to experience the prairie landscape, in all its aspects. Wide open spaces,... More

We met the new owners who made us feel very welcome. The washrooms were very clean. The owners, Neill and Susan offered an extra comforter to a guest who was tenting because they knew it could get cool in the evening. Now that's hospitable. Oh yeah, they are also pet friendly. Make sure to bring a gravity chair so you... More

I phoned Joanne a few hrs before arriving at Grasslands and she was able to accommodate me in a tipi for 2 nights ($20/night. It is $45/night at the park). She also provided a bed/bedding for an additional $10/night (clean sheets and she even used softener). Overall, I had a great experience at The Crossing Resort and highly recommend it!... More

I spent a night in the resort's teepee camp in August 2015. The owners are a welcoming elderly couple but during our stay they were transferring the business to new owners to which they had sold their establishment. They'll continue living on the premises though. The teepees are rustic but well worth the experience; they are equipped with a wooden... More

We stayed at The Crossing's B&B on our recent trip to the Grasslands National Park. The rooms are clean and modern and my bed was very comfortable. :) The property is adjacent to the park, and the views are lovely. The night sky is dark and we had a great view of the Perseid meteor shower from the balcony of... More

My son's and I chose to stay here after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. I booked one of the tipis thinking it would be a neat learning experience for my boys. The tipi had a raised platform which I thought was great. The Crossing also offers cots and mosquito netting for your stay (at a small fee ). Both Ken... More

I stayed 3 nights in one of the beautifully maintained small apartments over the main house. It was a great home base for accessing the park and it was also a comfortable place to hang on a rain day. All the basic cooking and kitchen supplies are provided. The 'breakfast basket' was a lovely thing as well! The views of... More

Cute and spotlessly clean. Stayed in one of the two suites over the main house and it was a perfect home base after a day of hiking. The hosts were pleasant and friendly but totally unobtrusive. A quiet place to relax and you cannot beat the night sky: you will never see more stars!!! Make sure you bring your supplies... More

We spent 4 nights at The Crossing and were very pleased with our stay in the south facing one-bedroom suite. The suite is comfortable and modern with a kitchenette, wifi, and satellite TV. You also have nice views of the pond on the property and Grasslands National Park. If you're interested in astronomy, this is the place to stay! Bordering... More
