I spent 2 1/2 months at Urraca Private Island and I thorougly enjoyed it. The place is magnificant, the monkeys are funny and entertaining and Francine, the owner, is a very inspiring and lovely person. My plan was to volunteer only for a week or so at Francine's place but I completely fell in love with the place and the... More

We stayed here four days as part of our honeymoon. We couldn't have chosen a better location! Its simply a paradise. The island isn't really an insland. It's five cabanas built on a mangrove area. The next island is about 10 minutes away. Each cabana has a shower on the terrace and has a private feel. Francine's hospitality and food... More

Françine takes care of nine monkeys, three différent species and holdes a little hotel in the middle of the mangroves. The rooms are very nice decorated and a stay in this hotel will remind for ever in your memory. You can easily reach the island from Bocas del Toro or any small island or hotel you stay around Bocas del... More

I don’t have the proper words to convey how enjoyable our trip was, in large part, thanks to you. To describe your paradise as enchanting or magical sells it short...it’s much, much more. You have brought a positive energy & boundless spirit to the EcoLodge that cannot be adequately described to others. You always had a smile, you always had... More

We just came back from this magical place. Me and a group of friends spent two nights with francine and her monkeys. The place is just beautiful, super relaxing and the perfect place to sneak away for a couple of nights. Francine and her team are extremely service orientated, friendly and generous. The food was excellent, dinner definitely exceeded my... More

I can't begin to describe how wonderful this little piece of paradise is. Francine has built a space that many only dream of. Holistic in its concept and design, Urraca is nestled within a mangrove almost as though the two exist harmoniously. Everything from the cuisine to the loving and playful animals make this an unforgettable destination. Elisia and Ovaldina... More

We stayed on Urraca Island for 3 nights, it was a fantastic treat! Francine and her team were very friendly and relaxed. The place is a little dream with only 4 cabines with Oceanview exterior shower. You can swim or kanoe in the water surrounding the small mangrove Island, go out to visit a cave (challenging), go fishing and snorkling,... More

The island was really nice and peaceful even though there was a full house around Christmas. We were lucky that the other guests were also looking for a peaceful time (there are enough party islands in the archipelago). The family bungalow we stayed in was amazing and we really appreciated the proper toilet and shower. The cute and nice monkeys... More

I can appreciate the amount of effort you did in order to totally rewrite you mother s comment, it takes some determination, congratulations In another hand, allow me to mention that I really dont think the tripadvisor community need to be told exhaustively things twice to understand a situation. Our family spent 4 nights on Urraca private island during Christmas 2014. We were agreed that we would be picked up at 10 a.m. at the pear ( Bocas town) , but the captain was 3 quarters late..... Well, caribbean time is maybe not that strict that we are used to... No problem.... We forgot about that soon... When we... More
