I've staid at The Oystercatcher whilst being on a business trip. The location is just beautiful right at the sea. The owners James and his wife are marvellous, interesting and very welcoming. My room was very clean with an en suit bathroom. Fantastic breakfast. Would really recommend to stay there.

Canal Court fully booked, offered the Oystercatcher B&B and accepted with trepidation - my experience of B&B have not been good. Very pleasantly surprised. James is the proprietor - a very laid back host I should imagine nt easily flustered. The room was neat very well equiped and the bathroom will put a lot of hotels to shame. Bernie is... More

Stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast with my boyfriend recently. Besides the great room, food and location, we were shown a great Irish welcome! We hired a car and spent our days exploring the local villages, the oystercatcher was a fabby place to come home to at the end of the day. I love Ireland so much, my second... More

We stayed here recently whilst mountain biking in the area. This is a great location in close proximity to the trails at Kilbroney Park. The room was basic enough but clean with plenty of storage space and also tea/ coffee making facilities. Our room also had an ensuite with an abundance of fresh towels which was good. I was a... Our stay with James at the Oystercatcher in Rostrevor was delightful. The room was elegant and there was a lovely sun deck on the roof for watching sunset over Carlingford Lough. James made us a delicious full Irish breakfast that was filling enough to hold us until dinner. It is easy to find and close enough to town to walk... More

Stayed at the Oystercatcher with my daughter on a cycling weekend. The B&B is perfectly placed close to the entrance to the new world class MTB routes in Kilbroney. Great breakfast the first day and packed lunches the next. Lovely homely atmosphere and Bernie is great. Bikers very well catered for with secure out-of-sight bike stands and locks supplied. Even... My wife and I stayed in August 2013 for three days and we would have loved to have stayed longer. We stay in B&Bs a lot and it's not always that you get the combination of the great location, great host and great breakfast the following day. The rooms were very comfortable, we were in the double room at the... More

My wife and I stayed at The Oystercatcher during September 2013. The location is perfect for walks along the beach at the shore and just a short stroll to the village. The rooms were quiet and well equipped and breakfast the following morning was lovely. Will definitely stay again soon.
