Situated in a very picturesque, relaxing and peaceful location the Oystercatcher is a fantastic little gem of a bed & breakfast! Not only did we receive a very warm welcome from our host James on arrival, but he continued to entertain us throughout our stay with stories and music providing us with unrivalled hospitality! From the clean comfortable and modern... More

Sadly, we were only able to stay at the Oystercatcher for one night (and unfortunately the weather wasn't great). However, we had a fabulous stay at this delightful B&B. James was good company and a wonderful host. He looked after us really well, was very helpful, relaxed, informative and pleasant and made us feel very welcome. He told us about... More

Stunning views. Lovely simple decor. Comfy bed. Great shower. Excellent food. Charming host who treats guests as old friends. What more could you want? A very special place. Would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again. All that a B & B should be.

Wonderful bed and breakfast. Hosts, James and Jill couldn't be more welcoming, helpful and kind. Every whim catered for! Abundance of local knowledge!....Lots of humour and interesting stories! You eat the delicious and wholesome breakfast, you don't have to eat again til tomorrow!! The best B&B I have ever stayed in....and I have stayed in a good few! I could... More

Great little retreat in a beautiful part of the world. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and a little sing song over breakfast. Highly recommended! If you get the chance, ask the gaffer for one of his LPs - you'll not be disappointed! A+++

I encountered a wholly unexpected level of friendship and the experience of being welcomed into the family complemented a comfortable stay in a B&B set in a beautiful location facing the water - a memorable stay!

My partner and I were in Warrenpoint for business and decided to stay over and make a night of it rather than drive home. I found the oyster catcher online and was attracted by the great reviews. We both love Rostrevor and have spent a few nights there in the past. Its a very beatiful and friendly village. We arrived... More

I basically live in hotel's and bed and breakfasts between thursday and sunday, so, have gotten used to to the idea of them. they don't surprise me. The Oystercatcher surprised me. the views on the shore road were staggering, but on arrival at the house, I was led up to my enormous room, with an equally large bathroom by James... More

The reviews prompted me to book. On arrival we were taken to our room which was a converted garage with its own access through French doors or through the kitchen. The first thing we found was a blob of toothpaste in the toilet sink obviously from the previous occupants. You then start to look round. There was dust behind the... More

Dear Duncan I was disappointed and rather shocked to read your review. I did not respond sooner because Bernie my wee gem of a housekeeper / cook who is very well known locally alerted me to the review and as she was 'mortified' she needed some time before she came back and thought 'everybody would be laughing at her!'.
