This night away was a last minute treat to chill out and relax. We were welcomed by James and immediately made to feel at home. Our room was downstairs and was lovely, bright, clean and very comfortable. The ensuite was fab with an amazing power shower - great for those aching limbs. The bed was so comfy I didnt wanna... The Oystercatcher is an excellent B&B perfectly located on the edge of Rostrevor with great views over Carlingford Lough and is both 5 mins walk from the pubs and restaurants in Rostrevor itself as well as a local forest great for long walks. James and Jill were fantastic hosts and definitely enhanced our stay with their local knowledge. Bernie the... More

This B&B is conveniently located near the town centre and the forest park - a great base for outdoor activities. Everything was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The host James was very friendly and informative about the local area.

We visited in July 2013 -- in town for the music festival. We booked early and asked for the family suite to have the extra space. The music festival brings in so many people -- and our "extra space" ended up being a room for another guest and the bathroom shared as well. BUT we still had a lovely time.... More

A fresh smoothie is only the beginning of list of amazing offerings for breakfast! James is a spirited host that reminds you why you want to travel in the first place. His zest for life and welcoming manner makes for a fun and interesting stay! He does need a bigger sign - head's up for the B&B on the corner... More

After a strenuous walk along the mourne way, James welcomed us in his cosy B&B. Our bedroom as well as the bathroom were very nice. In the morning, we even noticed the nice sea view (it was dark when we arrived)! The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Highly recommendable! Thanks, James!

The Oystercatcher is in a fantastic location on the shore and within walking distance to the village and restaurants. James is a great host and very welcoming to a quiet and comfortable B&B. We will be back for sure

This was my third time at Rostrevor and staying at the Oystercatcher and it was brilliant once again. James the owner can't do enough to make you feel welcome whilst staying their, and along with Jill and Bernie who also make your stay welcoming, and not forgetting Coco the cat! Hope to be back again next spring, we'll definitely be... More
