The Oystercatcher is in a fantastic location on the shore and within walking distance to the village and restaurants. James is a great host and very welcoming to a quiet and comfortable B&B. We will be back for sure

This was my third time at Rostrevor and staying at the Oystercatcher and it was brilliant once again. James the owner can't do enough to make you feel welcome whilst staying their, and along with Jill and Bernie who also make your stay welcoming, and not forgetting Coco the cat! Hope to be back again next spring, we'll definitely be... More

I recently stayed at the Oystercatcher B & B – what a great place to stay. James was a really friendly host, who made me feel really welcome – great breakfast and fantastic hospitality. The room was lovely: clean, tidy and spacious. The views from the B+B area are fantastic. I will be visiting again – cannot recommend more highly.

Me and my mother stayed for one week last week and it was a great stay. The hospitality and warmth of James makes you feel right at home and welcome. The oystercatcher itself is set in the beautiful landscape of Rostrevor and easy to find. Each morning we were greeted by James and a delicious smoothie and cooked breakfast which... More

I stayed one night in July 2014 before I went playing golf at the Royal County Down. Got a nice welcome from James who also showed me where I should go to have a late meal. The room was very nice with a modern interior. I can highly recommend this B&B.

We stayed one night in James's house before catching an early ferry back to England from Warrenpoint. James was a fantastic host - really hospitable and kind. He even made us smoothies for breakfast and left them in the fridge so that we could drink them before we left at 06.15! The room was lovely, the bed was comfy and... More

The Oystercatcher is a very warm and welcoming place thanks to the three people who run it. James and Jill chat to you a lot and treat you as though you've known them as friends for a long time. Both of them have a great knowledge of the surrounding area and are very helpful in so many ways. Bernie who... More
