Kurt runs a great place here. I love the location, very remote in the gorgeous Cochamo valley behind the rural town of cochamo. But, it was really Kurt's personalized attention that got us. his place is perfectly rustic. He is not looking for scale or volume, and as a result he individually helps each of his 10 - 15 guests.... More

We visited the Riverside Lodge for two nights and rode horses for a day. Every one was helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the pristine setting. Not the easiest place to get to, near Cochamo, but very enjoyable.

Beautiful setting, off the "beaten track". Lovely people who make you feel very much "at home". Activities are however expensive. - though if that is not an issue for you, then it is an ideal spot. You need to walk approximately five minutes from where you leave the car so you need a backpack rather than a suitcase- but makes... More

Having kayaked on the fjord I was dropped off at Campo Aventura's Riverside Lodge. Acces was by a rickety footbridge and then across a field. Lovely welcome by the hostess who promptly set a cup of tea (the best I've had in Chile) and an apple tart in front of me. That evening I had lovely salmon dish and chatted... More

Campo Aventura was the base camp for our 8 day horseback trip on the Gaucho Trail in Chilean Patagonia. Campo Aventura is located in the Cochamo Valley. Clear rivers, beautiful mountains, numerous waterfalls, exquisite scenery. Prior to leaving on our adventure, we spent a day white-water rafting and taking a leisurely hike in the local mountains and along the river.... More

Kurt, his wife Armin and their sons, Eli and Caleb, make this camp a pleasant, confortable, original e genuine place for travellers with an adventurous spirit and eager to see and experience the beauty and culture of the Cochamo Valley. The natural beauty of the valley and its surroundings, the amazing horse rides and the personal, cordious service was truly... More

I spent 2 nights at the Campo Aventura Riverside lodge, and 3 at their La Junta Mountain Lodge, with 3 days of horse riding and a day of hiking in between. The staff were all super-friendly, the food was incredible, the horses were amazing and the lodges are both in stunningly beautiful locations. I look forward to visiting again.

We enjoyed our trip to Campo Aventura more than we could ever say. We spent one night at the River Lodge and two at the Mountain Lodge. We hated to come down the mountain. The food at both the River and Mountain Lodge was the best we had on our trip. Tea every afternoon became a favorite. We were there... More

Wonderful experience! Great plentiful food with lots of variety, including vegetarian options. The hosts are welcoming and the staff is accomodating without intruding. We came as guests and left as friends. The area is a must see if you are in Chile. It provides a off the beaten path experience while at the same time being very manageable. Our stay... More

Kurt and his family and staff were wonderful hosts. We arrived in Cochamo with Ko Kayak after doing the fijord (excellent), and only stayed at Campo Aventura one night. We did the one-day horseback trek, which went about 1/2 way to the ranch at La Junta. It was an amazing ride. We crossed several rivers, and rode through amazing forest... More
