Large comfortable rooms, peaceful and tranquil, luxurious and quiet. Recommended for anyone that needs to get away from life’s chaos.
Pity there is no pool, otherwise this place is a winner in my books!

When Cornelius met the 5 of us on arrival I thought it wa too good to
be true.He was so helpful and attentive .
In fact over our 3 day stay Cornelius ,Karen ,Paul and staff went to
great lengths to ensure we got the most out of our stay in Wildernes.
This included booking things recommending visits and cooking...

Wow, what a location. The suites were enormous and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming, the staff were excellent, and the food was really nice, and reasonable priced. I would recommend it to anybody. We visited the cheetah sanctuary while there. Wonderful and a priviledge to be able to walk with young orphaned cats.

There are not enough words in the English vocabulary to describe how wonderful Plateau Country House is. We have stayed here twice, both times for two days and wished we could stay longer.
From the minute we entered the gates of the beautiful property set in the Platbos Nature Reserve, we knew we were in for a very special experience....

We only had 3 days at Plateau but will definitely be back. The place is immaculate, staff are friendly and well trained, there is incredible attending to detail and best of all the owners are very involved in the business with the result that the experience is an unforgettable one.

Plateau Country House is one of the hidden treasures of South Africa. Great personal service in a peaceful environment, there is not much more one can ask for when you stay here.
Breakfast was wonderful, served on the terrace (weather permitting). We had dinner on both evenings and the food was really good, the wine list excellent. We had lunch...

Whilst impeccably clean and neat this lodge lacks in any life or charm. The architecture is odd and quite unimaginaitive, looking more like a bunker than a warm country lodge.
The rooms are comfortable and large with high ceilings but feel more like an ultra-luxurious sanitorum than a fun hotel to inspire adventure and discovery.
The location is fairly near...

Very difficult to find – not signposted at all from West.
Excellent, once you get used to the odd setup. One other couple were there the first two nights, but otherwise we were on our own.
Rooms and restaurant exceptionally clean.
One disappointment - there was no pool or anywhere to sit out except on own terrace.
Food and service...

Dear guest,
Thank you for your encouraging review of your visit to Plateau Country House.
Please allow me to point out that, despite the entrance to PCH being prominently signposted from all directions along the R102 (the nearest National Route), legislation prohibits us from erecting any signage along the N2 highway (4km away, at its closest point). This is a...

This place is a real find and if you're looking for a place to stay from which to explore Natures Valley, Storms Rivers Mouth or Titsikama National Park, this has to be it, no question!! We stayed here as one night of our honeymoon and could not have chosen better.
The hotel itself is just stunning and so calming and...

I never write travel reviews but I just have to this time. This place is special. The setting is outstanding, the hotel luxurious, the food superb and the service is out of this world. If your are in the area or not just stay here - you would be a fool not to.
