Accommodations need to be improved. Hot water was poor and not warm enough. Central heating was not working. However the hotel staff provided an electrical heater to compensate. Additionally they offered to light up the fire place. Room which I stayed was not adequately soundproofed. Other than that the landscape and staff were great.

Spent three nights in this resort with wife and another couple and had a great break in the most beautiful surroundings. The historical aspects and authenticity of the place made it like no other.

If you go to UY, and I suggest you do...the whole country is beautiful and charming. We just spent 3 weeks there. The Estancia San Pedro de timote was magical, the wide open spaces, the horseback riding, the wonderful food and the charming people. Viewing the Southern Hemispher sky at night was breathtaking, my first time doing so.
