We arrived on a rainy evening, late, with no reservation. The restaurant had been recommended to us by our French host. We were made very welcome, and had a superb dinner with an excellent bottle of wine. Highly recommend.

We booked a table for an evening meal and noticed anglais written beside our meal. We arrived for our meal and found we were placed in a separate part of the room. The meal was well presented but some with extremely small vegetable portion. That would be acceptable, but we felt isolated from the other diners. We pointed this out,... More

This place is really quite special. A charming little family run hotel, nicely renovated in a picturesque corner of rural burgundy. Its off the main tourist trail yet within easy reach of many must-see sights. The restaurant alone warrants a visit, and the garden terrace is enchanting on a glorious summer afternoon. Marianne, the host speaks fluent English and all... More

We had reserved a room at Les Deux Ponts based only on internet searches and reviews but are very happy that we did! It is a charming, small (8-10 rooms?), family-run 'auberge', recently renovated in a clean somewhat minimalist style, which offers comfortable, if not particularly spacious, rooms, a lovely gravelled terrace, and above all, excellent cuisine. As it is... More

Our hosts at La Cimentelle in Avallon suggested Les Deux Ports restaurant (in the small village of Pierre-Perthuis) and they were not wrong to do so! This was one of the best nights of our stay in Bourgogne for many reasons. The setting is a wonderful blend of traditional countryside building and minimal contemporary furnishing - and it works very... More

We stayed elsewhere but had dinner here, sitting outside on the patio under a full moon. This is one of the best dinners we've had in two years of traveling throughout France on an old barge. Only 10 km from touristy Vezelay, this was quintessential France, calm, sophisticated and high quality. The food goes beyond routine traditional French cuisine as... More

We spent a weekend in this hotel. It's a nice hotel with very friendly owners. The dinners are very good and a lovely sight when you're eating outside. It's a nicy place to stay and enough to see in this area.

What a perfect 5 days I just experienced during my stay at Les Deux Ponts. Everything is in pure balance with each other and is executed very tastefully. Delicious food and whine (and Marc de Bourgogne), simple but very clean and comfortable rooms, a lovely terrace and a beautiful country side to explore. The ’typically French’ small river at a... We have stayed twice in this small, charming hotel on the outskirts of the tiny village of Pierre-Perthuis. Not in March 2010, as stated above (I had to make a pick, in order to write this review, and this was as early as I could get) but in 2008 and 2009. Part of the historical novel I was writing at... This is an attractive country hotel, with modest rooms and a fine restaurant. The small village of Pierre Perthuis is a short distance from--indeed, within sight of--Vezelay. A stay in Pierre Perthuis , however, can persuade you that you are in a real French village, not one (like Vezelay) designed for tourists.
