We steayed for 3 nights in cabin no 32. Very comfortable - 2 bedrooms, ensuite bathroom, small living-room together with kitchen and a terrace. Our cabin did not have a spectacular view over the Tornestrask lake as the ones in front row but it was OK for us. As a compensation we had a guest on every evening - a... More

Like many people, seeing the Northern Lights was on my must do list and, after a difficult time with ill health we decided (myself, husband and 2 sons aged 10 & 7) to make my dreams come true. After researching the most likely place to see them we discovered that Bjorkliden/Abisko had a pretty good chance and that 'Off the... More

We stayed here in March for just 4 days as part of a short honeymoon. we have 4 children but managed to escape them for a brief wonderful spell here in Bjorkliden. We stayed in one of the log style cabins in the grounds of the hotel. Very modern/rustic and a great private hot tub. we had to dig it... More

We didn't sleep at the hotel (was full), but in a cabin close by. The personal in the hotel is really nice and helpful: for example we could use the sauna, have our wet clothes in the dryer ("torkskåp") even though we had already checked out. I also recommend the restaurant.

The hotel was nice. the lobby area was wonderful with a fire and comfortable couches and an amazing view. The restaurant was good although I was expecting something a little nicer. The rooms and bathrooms were tiny but I had read that in the reviews before I booked. There was really nothing not to love.... but if I had the... More

On a 10 day northern lights tour with Off the map travel we were booked into one of the Kappas Cabins just down from this Hotel. Friendly staff, good choice of food and views from the restaurant, free wifi, crèche & paths regularly snowploughed. The cabins themselves have plenty of hot water, warm rooms, views over the lake, mini kitchen... More

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights as part of a bespoke package organised through Ski Safari including a night at the Ice Hotel. The resort was very small, but this worked well for us as the ski hire was across the car park and the lift pass shop was at the bottom of the ski out piste. We... More

What a great hotel with cabins attached. An ideal resort for skiing and Aurora chasing. Comfortable accommodation, super fresh food and delightful staff. Could not have been better despite the copious amounts of snow.

I stayed two nights in the main building. My single room was pretty small, with minimal comfort. It was very clean although it looked dated, especially the bathroom. I liked the fact that you could control the room temperature. The wifi worked well. I found the breakfast pretty average, it could be improved adding a real coffee machine and more... More

Came here in January to see the Northern Lights. Pieced the whole trip and activities together independently. All activities were prebooked through the hotel before we left and they were excellent with information and advice. On arrival the check in was straightforward and all staff had genuine smiles and couldn't be more helpful. As with other reviews , the rooms... More
