The hotel has pretty grounds by a river, pool was OK but lots of teenagers in pool. This hotel worked out fairly well during our trip with a comfortable king bed. Beach club (Las Brisas) at Tecolutla (on the coast, a few miles from the hotel) was great. This was only about a 10-minute drive from the hotel and it was fun and relaxing. The breakfasts at the hotel were good.

It´s a good option to enjoy the river view, delicious breakfast, clean, good maintainance. Imagine the night swiming at the pool , next to the river and watching the moon. If you like running, you can find a track for runners at walking distance from the hotel. The beach is 10 min from the hotel. I spend a great time!!

I stayed at this hotel for one night in February. I was traveling with extended family. We would have actually stayed another night but there were problems with their online booking system. The system said they were booked when they actually weren't - unfortunate for the hotel and for us. We were visiting El Tajin as well as Tecolutla and the mangrove swamps. While this is an older hotel, it has a very gracious presence. It is well cared. The room were pleasant, bathroom updated and clean. One of the bathrooms from my group I was traveling with had multiple shower heads. The view from my room and the miradora was spectacular. Ask for a room overlooking the pool and the river. I enjoyed my two brief swims. I am sure that they thought I was a crazy Canadian to swim in that weather (seemed like summer to me). They brought tea down to the pool for us as well as a beach towel for me. The sound of the birds on the grounds was amazing. (I need to find out the name of a particular one.) They have the tallest palm trees. The staff was very pleasant. (I am not sure if some of them spoke English or not.) There is a restaurant on site and I had the most delicious tortilla soup - yum! I would certainly go back.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night only since this is the nearest decent hotel near EL Tjin Pyramids. But it is still around 45min travel to El Tjin since there is no hotel there. This is a cozy hotel with spacious rooms, clean bathroom and big swimming pool. The staff here doesnt speak english. The food is quite good and our rooms has nice views of the river. Our rooms comes with airconditoning, cable TV, hot water and best of all FREE WIFI! Yahoo!

Flew into Mexico City for a quick trip with my sister and my husband. We planned a side trip to Tecolutla with my sister's husband and family. We had a hard time planning where to stay as there are no online reviews of hotels in Tecolutla. We found Hotel Santa Luisa Finca, saw some pictures, and took a chance. There's about 18 rooms, maybe 4 floors, and no elevators. THe hotel is The rooms were very clean and there were toilets seats on our toilet - SCORE! The air conditioning only existed in the hotel rooms, lobby, and restaurant. The rest of the hotel corridors were really hot. The pool was huge for such a small hotel. We were the only people at the pool most of the days we were there. I should note that the hotel address is in Tecolutla but actually it's a few miles from Tecolutla, and is closer to Gutierrez Zamora. So we had our choices of towns to go have a meal in. Once we drove into Tecolutla we realized that there were many other hotels/motels. If you want to be on the beach, definitely stay in Tecolutla, but if you'd like a private pool, quiet, and nice rooms, definitely stay at Hotel Santa Luisa.
