One of the greatest hotels I've ever been! The owner is very friendly and help us to arrenge a trip to Quilotoa. Great service, huge breakfast, clean room. The hotel is an antiquity: old metal keys, ''piedra pomes'' construction and the location alouds you to see the volcano (if you are lucky and there's a good weather). I loved it,... More

The owner was very pleasant and helped us to arrange a personal tour of Cotopaxi, The room was nice and very clean. The hotel was an old hacienda and we liked the antiquity of the building. The rooms are in an inner court and you didn't hear the sound of traffic.

We stayed here for a night. The hotel is built in an old building, and has an amazing character and charm. The staff was also very helpful, and the included breakfast was very nice. It was weird to have a bathroom door without a lock though.

We stayed at the villa de tacvnga and were impressed with both the place and the people. It was quiet (rooms overlook a lovely courtyard) with lots of fun historic features (including heavy unique metal keys). What was really great was the service! They helped us make train reservations with grace and patience, which included a phone call that took... More

The pictures are deeiving - the interior courtyard has the past grandeur but the rooms are sad looking, many with traces of smoking. No decoration on the walls. We stayed for 1 night only because it was our jumping off point to visit Quilotoa and then we were off to Banos. It's basic, appeared clean, hot water in the shower,... More

Latacunga is a smaller town without alot of good hotels. This hotel is four years old and one of the few good ones. Our room was nice, the beds were good, but there were not a whole lot of extras in the room. Everything was very clean and the included breakfast was one of the better ones. There was also a... More

For a hotel in a small Ecuadorian city, this is excellent. We (a family of 5) stayed in the "Family room" which had adequate towels, a great shower and comfortable beds. No noise at night. very nice and inexpensive restaurant situated in the middle of town. The prices for everything were good and the service outstanding. The desk clerk even... More

Enjoyed this property in 2010 and again August, 2014. Clean and well-maintained. Satisfactory breakfast each morning. Great view of Cotopaxi volcano from the third floor balcony and the roof deck. Rooms face a courtyard.

When entering the hotel it looked nice and cosy - but entering the room immediately reversed our impression. The room was not maintained or properly cleaned - whereever we looked! After discussing with front office, they offered us a different room, but this actually revealed the same problems. We finally decided to pay more and go for a suite. But... More
