My wife and I just enjoyed a very pleasant weekend at Ecotoucan. We enjoyed the beauty of La Laguna de Seis Colores, the glorious star filled night skies, the trail through the jungle, the comfort of the cabanas and the hospitality of the friendly and courteous owners. We did not have time to take advantage of them, but there are... More

Traveling through Yucatan, this was our last stop. We stayed in many hotels with different levels of comfort. To be honest, if you like 5 star decadence don't come here, but if you're a traveller and are interested in all aspects of culture and nature, don't miss this one. We stayed for one night and Jacqueline took us on a... More

Villas Ecotucan is an ecotourism hotel, and my expectations of this kind of hotels is different than with regular hotels. The rooms were always clean and people were so nice and prompt to assist and make u feel like part of the family. It is a quiet place, I felt always safe, and the food was good. My only suggestion... We stayed here in 2012 and decided to come back with our family this time. All 12 of us had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. It is a short drive into town for supplies. We had dinner here 2 nights and it was excellent! We also decided to have our wedding right on the dock on the laguna.... More

Having traveled through different eco resorts in Mexico we had great expectations before visiting Ecotucan. We had red the reviews telling about insufficient water pressure in the showers, lack of illumination, limited wifi and electricity, but all this did not bother us at all. What shocked me at arrival were the complete broken mosquito nets placed on the cabanas' windows.... More

Villas ecotucan is an off the grid place to stay- all electricity is solar powered. Come with your phone charged and a flashlight to walk to your villa after dark. We only stayed one night , and it was fine. Right on the lagoon with kayaks to use, which was great. It's obviously ideal to stay right on the lagoon,... More

We stayed in villa Ecotucan and enjoyed a walk through the nature and a sunrise kayaktour. The walk was very interesting. Jaqueline tells a lot about the life there and shows a lot of things you would not see by your own. The kayaktour was amazing. It was not very exhausting and the environment is so beautiful and quiet. Just... More
