We arrived after booking an excursion with Native Choice and are glad we did. This place is beautiful and unspoiled. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place to go. ITs quiet, and the lake is amazing. We kayaked, swam, played on the slide and the future beach... Lunch was delicious and included the bar. Highly recommend... More

Coming off a really awful place on another part of the lake, the Bacalar Lagoon Resort was definitely a step up. The owner is very pleasant and helpful. Everything seemed to be well run, the little cottages are cute, very clean and have just enough to make them pleasant. There are ceiling fans, bath accessories and reading lamps by the... More

My girlfriend and I had a very pleasant stay in this resort. We were not completely sure what to expect before, but as soon as we arrived we were sure that is a place exactly for us. Direct located at the lagoon, quiet, clean and very good maintained. A beautiful place to relax. After we met the owner Robert and... More

I stayed here with family for about a week in late 2015. It is off the beaten path, down a rustic side road that branches off from a little town. The complex itself is picturesque - a slightly manicured tropical aesthetic. The pictures don't really do it justice but give you the general idea. The cabanas were cute and clean... More

After a long drive from Calakmul we finally arrived in the Bacalar Lagoon Resort and were stunned by the beautiful view of the lagoon. We enjoyed the quiet place, the hammocks and seats by the waterfront and the free use of kajaks. The Cabanas are clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. There is... We went with a lot of family members to the famous lagunas de Bacalar. We were not disappointed. It was a peaceful and restful place. The water was quite clean and warm. We spent more time that we were anticipated but again it was a wonderful place to spend the day.

I have to say that we were more than a little worried during the ride to this hotel "and" once we arrived. I would not call this group of cabanas a “resort”. There are no amenities and absolutely nothing that a normal resort (or even an “eco” resort) would have. This place is situated off of the main highway 307... More

My wife and I built this small resort with a specific purpose in mind. It was to be an oasis of beauty and comfort in the middle of the jungle and on the edge of beautiful Bacalar Lagoon. In our web page, in the video and in the photos we try our best to present the place exactly as it... More

My boyfriend and I visited this resort and absolutely loved it. The location is fabulous and the fresh water lagoon is unlike anything I've ever experienced. You couldn't ask for kinder hosts, Robert & his wife Greta. The food was great and the cabana's we're the cleanest I have ever seen. I hope to come back again.

We stayed for four nights over Xmas. We were impressed by the well kept grounds , friendly owner, and good quality food at reasonable prices. For us this place was too isolated but if its peace and isolation you yearn for this will fit the bill. It's a bit of a trek down a brather bumpy dirt road then a... More

I stayed at Bacalar Lagoon Resort for a week during fall 2015 for a family gathering with relatives from the US and Brazil. It was very relaxing to be surrounded by nature. Watching the sun rise in a kayak in the middle of the lagoon was priceless and magical. Paradise for birds, music for our ears. The property is extremely... More
