We came to this little resort nestled out of the way. It was truly a splash of beauty and simple elegance hidden away. We did not stay here, but came with the second portion of an excursion. So thankful we did. The staff was very accommodating to our every need. The food was tasty and the resort was as clean... More

My family took an excursion which included the Bacalar Lagoon Resort. Although the weather was a bit overcast, Robert and his staff prepared an excellent lunch and we were able to swim and kayak for a bit before needing to return to our cruise ship.

Beautiful oasis in the jungle. Off the beaten path and a little hard to find but well worth the extra effort to get there. Quiet and serene -we had the place to ourselves and enjoyed every minute. Kayaks available and the most delicious piña coladas I've ever tasted! Great food and great service. We highly recommend!!

Thanks to owners and Maya, They made our 3 day stay feel like home. The staff was always helpful and friendly , food was spot on great. For me, I was in birding heaven, between the ground ,trails and the road s that cut a great path through the jungle allowing great access to over 100 species of birds that... More

We were expecting incredible and that's what we got. What an amazing location! The cabanas were clean, well appointed lots of windows for wonderful daytime and evening breezes. Kayaking Bacalar Lagoon shouldn't be missed. Don't forget to say hello to Maya, their really friendly wonderful dog. The food was terrific and we look forward to coming back very soon!

My girlfriend and I traveled to this amazing place and were floored by the beauty of the place. This place is a perfect combination of remoteness and modern comfort. It is a private little paradise hidden away from everything, yet they do have 24 hr electricity and hot water. The cabanas are made of concrete and have windows with screens,... More

Although we did not stay here. We would like to share our experience. When we made the reservation the owners were really nice and helpful. We booked a two bedroom cabaña. On the website one sees a spilt unit AC. On arrival, we got to know the AC had broken down ( but we were not informed) And they had... More

I've stayed here two times now and both time I had a great stay: love the cabañas in front of the laguna, the dock with hammock and the quiteness of the place. The food was always great too! Tucked away in a corner of the laguna it feels like a little small scale paradise ... wish I could have stayed... More

I feel like I should not write this review as it will be giving away a secret location that I feel only a select few know about. But after having such an amazing experience I felt I should let others know. First of all it's not exactly easy to get to and that probably contributes to the uniquely amazing experience.... More
