My wife and I went here around 2 years a go wen we was boyfriend and girlfriend and immediately fall in love in this beautiful place... Later on we decide to marry and the only place that really convinced us was Rancho Encantado. Bautif environment, lovely cabañas and all the guests was loving the magic atmosphere. The lagoon has wonderful... More

Rooms / cabanas on the lake are the best option here. They are very well appointed, especially given the price range. The staff for the most part were all very nice, the lady at the front desk was helpful, but could attempt to be a little more welcoming. Food was pretty good quality, but there was some rather odd music... More

hands down the best place to stay in Bacalar. The staff is super attentive, and eventhough the kitchen can improve (moves at Bacalar speed, plates come out in random order) the quality of the meals (while not the depth of the menu) is excellent. And the staff always smiles and goes back and firth, back and forth to please The... More

Beautiful hotel in beautiful setting with wildlife – birds, lizards around the hotel grounds. It is worth paying the extra to get a Laguna room. Rooms are very nice and spacious but a little dark although they are well sealed, no bugs. Coffee maker and free water in your room which is great. The place is near a main road... More

A great place to stay! It had everything we needed and expected. Staff very friendly, welcoming and proficient. Cabins are situated amongst the garden at sufficient distance from each other. Can definitely recommend the boat tour, including swimming across under-water-cenotes and fruit snacks. Food very good. Relaxing beside the water, in a hangmat, or during a massage over the water... My husband and I needed a getaway for last Thursday-Saturday. This place was PARADISE! LOVE the excellent service, always with a wonderful positive attitude (smiling and being nice). All pretty affordable! A shootout for Isabel, who was always so very helpful and supportive! I had a massage, we had a yoga class and we did the 4 hour tour in... More

The service is great, and the place is beautiful. But I would stay somewhere else with a better view of the lagoon that would probably be even cheaper. We stayed in the Master suite and it was perfect, spacious, very clean, with its own private pool. On the negative side is that we were very close to the highway, so... More

This place is almost perfect! It's located right at the lagoon and has a great wooden pier with hammocks on it! You can easily spend hours there swimming and relaxing! The staff is very nice, the restaurant amazing (we had dinner and breakfast, both very good). The room was very clean and had a huge, comfortable bed. We highly recommend... More

We decided to break out stay in Tulum with a stay in Bacalar. We only wished we stayed another night or two. The hotel was excellent (but basic) in an excellent scenic location, and just the relaxing place we were looking for. We also did the 4 hour boat trip was good fun. All in all probably one of the...
