First of all, pictures do not do justice to this hidden gem. Far away from maya riviera, this hotel is still authentic, beautiful luxury cabanes, spotlessly clean, very friendly staff and an overall relaxing atmosphere by thebeautiful lake with free canoes, hamaks, swings in water. Also food & drinks of very good quality. We still do not understand why this... More

This hotel is located in one of the most spectacular places in Quintana Roo. Still a very calm place to visit, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and enjoy swimming because of the great temperature of the water! Very relaxing place to stay and close to other great places.

We stayed for only a couple of nights at this enchanting boutique hotel. The place is truly beautiful and a real secret spot. We all enjoyed and relaxed, although unfortunately only for a short time. Spacey and very comfortable room, excellent food and service, in a beautiful nature.

We staid there for one night during a road trip in Mexico. It was amazing, the staff was really nice the room was clean and the food delicious. The price you will end up paying is higher than average but totally worth it. I definitely recommend the boat tour to explore the Laguna it was unreal to see all these... More

Bacalar is an excellent place to get away from it all. It's a peaceful and absolutely beautiful location. Rancho Encantado is located right by the Bacalar lagoon, which has three underwater cenotes, an extensive coral reef and crystal-clear water, and they offer a boat trip around the lagoon so you can enjoy its splendour fully. The food is very good,... More

This hotel is the perfect place for stay a few days. It's romantic, clean, the location is perfect!!! They have great food and service, the lagoon is magic! They offer kayaks and stand up paddle for free, so you can spend a lot of time enjoying the view, the water and this awesome weather.

Surprisingly large rooms, even with kitchenette....large roof terrace and even a private outside jacuzzi ! Wonderful lakeside restaurant with beautiful views, meals very tasty for Mexican level. Warm public jacuzzi at lake in need of small repair though... We enjoyed our stay, better than expected !

Not a fancy resort, but a beautiful, local, place to stay with cozy bungalows, glorious swimming in the early morning and an excellent restaurant overlooking the lake. One of our two favorite spots on Lake Bacalar (the other is Hotel Laguna Bacalar). Either hotel is a perfect place to stay while exploring the area -- Chetumal with its fabulous museum... More

Our three-day stay in March, in one of the lakefront bungalows, was delightful. Initially assigned to a garden room, we asked the staff to change, if possible, to a room directly by the water. They were able to accommodate our request, and we enjoyed warm breezes from the laguna and wonderful vistas, a perfect way to relax after several days... More

Stayed here for two nights during our road trip from Belize. The hotel is set right on the lagoon and offers spectacular views. You can rent paddle boards for $5 per hour or use the free kayaks to tour the lagoon. Another option that I would recommend is taking the hotels boat tour around lagoon. The 4 hour option offers...
