We come here every year from our Mexican home in Puerto Aventuras. We love the solitude, the quiet and the beautiful setting. We always stay on the water because it is delightful to get out of bed, walk outside, and jump in the water. People are nice, food is great (they did a special order sushi dinner for us this... this is our third or fourth time here. wonderful setting, wonderful staff. The owner continues to add features; for example, they now have a sweat lodge. Good food, good accommodations, nice people, very romantic

I can't see how this place can get anything over 2 or 3 stars. Had planned to stay 2 nights at a cabin over the water, left after the first night. I'm not a picky person but for $400.00 us dollars per night, I did expect more, There was a nice breeze in the daytime but no air circulation at... More

They advertise as a holistic center, not an eco lodge. I like going to really nice places and being comfortable on vacation. At over $400usd/night it is way overpriced for what you get, which is not much: no ac, no hairdryer, no minibar, no Romo service, no large mirror or lighting....you get a tiny watersaving shower head. No hotel store... More

Pictures are amazing, people friendly but the location is old and not well maintained. They where renovating the room next to us Saturday and Sunday i high season. This place has nothing holistic... we went there and were supposed to stay a week - than went back home after 2 nights.

Akalki has the perfect location and it's a true paradise. But... For the price we paid I expected a little more... The staff wasn't too helpful or friendly. No English menu so you have to guess what you've ordered... We were asking about the location of a boat tour we booked , they didn't know but also didn't even try... More

I’d like to start by saying I am bummed about the last review left on trip advisor by “Lilly R.” I feel as though it is inaccurate and unwarranted. I really hate when people leave reviews that aren’t true because when people read reviews the first thing they see is 1 negative comment among the 500 positive comments. I’m sorry... More

We were incredibly disappointed by this hotel. It was supposed to be the highlight of our trip, and it was the most expensive hotel we booked. To begin, there was no water pressure in the shower, which meant I couldn’t wash my hair nor shave my legs. It was extremely warm in the room (November) and the room itself was... More

I stayed here last week and was just an overwhealming experience, a sense of community, hospitality, delightful view and so much possitive energy in the air, I can't really find the perfect words to describe this experience, the food, the activities, meditation has never been so peaceful and flowing, you really need to live the experience to understand my fascination... A piece of heaven, perfect for photographers that are in pursuit for natural beauties. The price is worth it, you really became offline & get mental peace. The food is good, they have a organic garden, so a lot of ingredients are local. There's no air conditioner, so be ready for the heat and mosquitos. Really unique place!
