We arrived as it was getting dark, our room was in an annex, the gate was broken and the garden was unkempt. the light on the stairs to our room did'nt work, The panel on the bath was missing and there was exposed plumbing which had not been boxed in.
The bedroom was clean but very old-fashioned.

We stayed two overnights in this inn on the way back from a vacation in Spain. The 'auberge' actually feels more like a chambre d'hôtes whereby you get close contact and rapport with the owners. The welcome and the stay is very personal. In order to make this pleasant a good command of French seems to me to be key....

We also stayed this logis-de-france accomodation here last June (2006) and loved it! It was the best time of our week in France.
The auberge is OLD, so the room is worn looking (but clean) and the plumbing has been updated, oh, maybe once in the last 600 years :-) But if that's okay with you, it was fantastic to...
