This review is well overdue, but it goes to show the lasting impression this place made on us. My husband, mum and I stayed here in January 2014. We were lucky enough to stumble across Margaret and this B&B when we pulled into Gevrey Chambertin on our travels. Margaret was so wonderfully accommodating and pleasant. The décor and cleanliness of... More

Situated in a small and charming wine village, along La Route des Grands Crus, Les Chambertines is a gem at the heart of the Burgundy region. The rooms are comfortable, quiet, modern and tastefully decorated. The hosts, Margaret and Graeme, are wonderful!! I cannot say enough about the special stay we had at Les Chambertines thanks to them. They were... More

A charming mix of Scottish and Australian hospitality combines to produce a beguiling place to spend time among some of the most famous rows of vines in the world. Les Chambertines is a delightful b&b that has emerged, with lots of effort and a great deal of style, from the shell of an old stone barn in the heart of... More

We arrived after overnight flight from USA and long drive from CDG Airport in Paris to a warm welcome and beautiful modern room in this historic building in a small village in the heart of Burgundy. Margaret is a charming Scottish lass who is living her dream and created this lovely B&B. She speaks fluent French and makes an exceptional... More

Fabulous place to stay our room was delightful, fantastic décor. Breakfast had everything you could want. Friendly and helpful owners. I hope they have a successful season, they deserve it. I'd like to return one day.

It’s a very nice place for a really pleasant stay in the area of great Burgundian wines. The photos of “Les Chambertines” can not translate that lovely and hospitable atmosphere of this place which you immediately feel at the fist step through the gates. The guest house is beautiful designed and comfortable equipped. Chambers are large and cozy. Margaret, the... More

One of the best places that we got to stay in France. The hospitality was amazing. Margret is an interior decorator and it is depicted in every aspect of the house. She also is an amazing cook and you get to sample her creations for the breakfast. My wife and I had a splendid couple of days at this place.... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here- Margaret was simply wonderful, her place is beautifully designed and she is extremely kind. We spent a lazy morning cycling to the nearby village of Fixin. What made the stay special was Margaret's hospitality- from the warm ginger bread to the fresh cherry jam and her lovely dog Lily. We felt... More

If you really want an overwhelming sensation of feeling a Guest: offer yourself and your beloved the pleasure of this combination of grace, wit, beauty, and intelligent and well-considered mix of design and 'art trouvé'. You will be sad to leave... And Margret really is a hostess you'll hardly be able to forget.

The tiny one way road and road closures played havoc with our GPS but luckily my memory and map reading skills got us there in the end. The village is very pretty and well worth walking around. Margaret is a very attentive host and provides an excellent breakfast. She also gave great advice on eating out at a wonderful restaurant... More
