A surprising variety of rooms within traditional and modern buildings and all maintained to a high standard with a super restaurant. The cheaper rooms are in the modern spar complex with the very large pool and judging by the number of Parisien number plates is very popular for visits at the weekend . It is a very enjoyable well presented... more

We booked this hotel through Brittany Ferries, which seems to have been a very good deal and included a 4 course meal each night. We stayed for 3 nights at the end of October. The room we had was very comfortable. We could see the sea, although we were not facing it, and looked out over well kept gardens. Our... more

To celebrate my wife’s birthday I booked a week-end break at the Domaine de Rochevilaine Hotel, one of the Relais and Chateaux Chain of hotels, usually a guarantee of quality. Budget : 700 Euros for one night including breakfast and evening meal for 2. At this price one would expect to have a good time. Tne Junior suite we were... more

The hotel surroundings are beautiful, the location is unique. However, I was a bit disapppointed when we were shown the room. We had a reservation for a duplex as we wanted some additionnal space. We expected a living area downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. In fact it was a kind of family accomodation, with two bedrooms but not a single... more

My wife and I splurged for our 45th anniversary and were not disappointed by this marvelous hotel. The setting is incredible and our suite overlooked the water. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The public rooms, along with the restaurant, are oriented toward the water and take great advantage of marvelous vistas. There is an outdoor dining/cocktail area... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2nights (8/9 July) on our way to Biarritz. We didn't have any problems with bugs etc but we had an ocean facing room which could have been the reason. I have split our review into 2 parts.....the Good Points and Not So Good Points. Good Points The hotel design is definitely... more

Stayed on 13 July; lovely place; I had a direct view of the bay; slept with the windows open; nice and breezy; very cool temperature; ;lovely ocean sounds; no bug problems as previously reported by other posters; no need for A/C. Bathroom was more than sufficient. Grounds are exquisit. Friendly greeting from staff upon arrival but quickly went to a... more

I think this Hotel should beware that it does not overdo the 'additional facilities' and build ons. A fabulous location on top of the point. Food was very good, service very good but I think we possibly arrived at the wrong time. We spent four days here and three of them we were visiting the surrounding villages etc. which was... more

We stayed for 2 nights in mid October. We were only able to book a standard room due to availability. The room was in the new wing (not an advantage) and was huge well furnished with a partial sea view. The hotel is as it looks on their web site. We ate all meals in their restaurants and were totally... more

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The room was beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous, but we arrived during a hot season. The hotel is not air conditioned and there are no screens on the windows. This was fine during the day but when we tried to open the windows at night and turn... more
