This is one of the best places we have been. Perfect peace in beautiful nature. And yes, the road is long, hot and bumpy, but the journey really pays off!!! We took a cab that cost us 1000 pesos each way. Michelle was a great host, and the food was gorgeous!

The road is an adventure and not for the faint of heart, but if you are up for a fun, beautiful adventure, then make the trek to Xamach Dos. We have been back several times and although the road can be bad, just set your mind to what lays ahead. Quiet, plenty of alone time, kayaking, fishing, chess, and great... More

I recently went to Xamach Dos on vacation. My friend found it on Airbnb, and it sounded so cool to stay in a treehouse in the jungle. It was a pain in the butt (literally) driving the bumpy road down from Tulum to Xamach Dos, but once we got there it was worth it. The treehouse was right on the... More

Wonderful relaxed and friendly reception. Blissful location. White sands, crystal clear sea. We arrived on spec and waited for the most Devine Ceviche to be made ,While we drank cervezas and margaritas. Had a wonderful drive down the peninsula passing many iguanas and a few pelicans. The American hosts were charming. Would love to stay in one of their tree... More

My sisters' and I stayed at Xamach Dos from April 23 - 26 2014. We loved everything about it. I have read several of the reviews and do agree that it may not be for everyone, but if you want something a little more laid back, perhaps like visiting a friends cottage, than this is the place for you. We... More

yes, it is a pain driving the last 30 km as you can only drive 15 mph due to the giant holes in the road, but it's worth it. you are in a remote location and it was great being there as a couple. there are two dogs there that are giant cupcakes, i miss them. some fyis for you;... More

We have been here for 5 nights (1 in casa secreta and 4 in the treetop house) and we did not want to leave. This place is the perfect getaway. We experienced a great and very flexible service, Michelle and Tim were amazing hosts and the fantastic chef was always open to any of our wishes. The five cabanas are... More

We stayed at Xamach Dos and were absolutely enchanted. Everything about the experience was perfect especially the rustic tree house (60 or so meters from the ocean) and the food. They went out of their way to proactively ask if we had any special dietary needs (we did; vegetarian) and then they adapted their authentic Mayan/Mexican cuisine to them for... More

This place is a magical secret tucked deep into the natural reserve of Sian Ka'an, all the way toward the end of a dirt road, one hour+ South of Tulum. First of all, I must warn everyone (even couples): You will fall in love with Michelle :) (Dan's, the owner, daughter) She is one of the sweetest most grounded people... More

All is not as it appears on the website and brochure. As the date of our reservation approached, we became increasingly concerned about the drive in to Xamach Dos in our tiny rental car. We decided not to go and requested a refund for only the second day of our two night reservation. Our refund request was denied. We were... More

THE ROAD..you have to understand that sometimes the road is good, and sometimes it is not. It is a park road and I cannot always guarantee that it will be smooth, I have no control over that. I take every review personally, I built the place, put 10 years of my life into it, how can it not be personal.... More
