We used this site last year as a stopover on the way and on the way back from the South of France. We liked it so much we spent 2 days on the way and 2 days on the way back there this year. The pool area is still great and has been the subject of some improvements in the... More

This campsite had well kept large pitches and extremely well kept shower and toilet blocks and other amenities. The pools were very busy and seemed much smaller than the photographs. There was late night entertainment in French which was heard all over the campsite but not great for english speaking children or for early nighters. It rained a lot unfortunately... More

Dear guest, Thanks for your reaction, and yes we would love to have a littel more sunshine this summer. Normaly its there, but try it again next year by us. About the entertainment, we try not to make it too late if we have entertainment. Mostly its over at 22.30. But sorry if its was too much for you. Hope... More

We have stayed here several times on the way to Spain and find it very convenient, safe and has good sanitary facilities. The hedges between pitches are very high and a bit claustrophobic and we always talk about the possibility of the owners cutting them a bit lower! The swimming pool looks lovely but we haven't been there on a... More

After reading the great reviews of this site we timed our travels from the south to spend a night on the way home. At the reception desk after checking there was availability, we asked what restaurants were open in the local village we had the curt reply of "ferme." I asked about the on site restaurant which our guide said... More

We (me, wife and 4 kids) stopped here both on the way and way back from South of France. It is situated about 270 miles north of Perpignan, couple of miles from the A75 just south of Clermont Ferrand. It's fair to say that a lot of people use it as a 'stop off' point on their journey so people... More

I have been to this site twice whist travelling to / from Spain. It is a good stopping point within 10 miles of Clermont Ferrand if you are driving to the Channel ports and want to stay in something better than an Aire. The site has unusually high hedges which give you privacy or are claustrophobic depending on your preference.

since our previous visit the owners have returned to all year opening. There's a new automated check-in system for when Reception isn't open that takes credit cards. Sadly I can't tell you how it works but instructions seem to be available in several languages. The security barrier system has also altered & now needs a 4-figure code for entry to... More

The only reason this site doesn't rate a "5" is because, unlike many other - but not all - French campsites, it doesn't have an on-site restaurant. Snack bar, yes but we - in many years of visits - haven't tried it. Why? Because Orcet hosts two pizza vans within relatively easy reach of the site. Note that, in our... More
