I stayed for two nights and had the best experience of a three month wander through Argentine and Chile. Amory and Fernando are marvellous hosts who are so committed to living without damaging the environment that I finally understand the concept of leaving only footprints. My ideal water usage was set at 40 litres for 24 hours. What a challenge.... More

One of the highlights for us on the island was staying here. Fernando and Amory are a lovely couple, extremely knowlegable and gave us great advice on things not to be missed on Chiloe. There commitment to the environment and running the ecolodge to be nearly self-sufficient is extremely admirable. They are great role models for others. We stayed in... More

The first view of the sunken river valley through the newly-constructed dining and relaxing area leaves you lost for words. Our cabanas were very confortable and Fernando and Amory are informative hosts and very committed to running the enterprise with a very light ecological footprint. The dawn canoeing was atmospheric and wonderful, even on a cold and misty day. The... More

We stayed here for one night during our Chiloé trip. The surroundings are wonderful, great for relaxing, bird- and nature watching. Our cabaña was warm and cozy, with a private terrace and a spectacular view overlooking the river valley. Room and bathroom were spotless and the bed was very comfortable. And of course the whole sustainability concept (solar- and wind... More

Dear Patrick Thank you very much and we truly appreciate your comments. This is a good opportunity to make clear to the Trip Advisor community about Kayak at Dawn (KAD) rate, that has nothing to do with time, is all about a personal experience. KAD is a journey for your senses that starts early in the morning (5am) app intended... More

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Chepu, including the spectacular dawn kayak. Fernando & Amory were welcoming and shared their amazing story with us over cups of coffee. The view over the river is stunning and worth sitting for some time to enjoy. This isn't an action packed place to stay. It's simple, clean & tidy and they... More

We spent two nights at the Ecolodge. Fernando and Amory are wonderful hosts and did everything to make our stay pleasant. The highlight was the 5 am (well, we cheated and started at 5:30) kayak trip in the pre-dawn mist up the river. They have all the equipment to rent and Fernando gets you geared up and ready to go.... We just returned from a trip to Los Lagos Region, Chepu Adventure was one of the 2 highlights. For one thing, as far as a hotel can be eco-friendly, it's the real deal. Wind and solar energy are being used here, the hosts hope to be 100% self-sustainable one day. We had to be careful with water consumption and with... More

Chepu seemed like a great place to spend a few days but little did we imagine that it would be the highlight of our trip to Chiloe. Beautifully situated and with a real commitment to the environment, the ecolodge has something really different to offer. Fernando and Amory are amazing hosts and the food is finger-licking good. Make sure you... More

If you are anywhere near Chiloe, don't miss this pearl of a place. My partner and I and his father spent a magical three nights here - even though the Chiloen weather was awful! Amory and Fernando are wonderful hosts, and the lovely Alan was a great help. Food is fabulous, drinks are reasonably priced and you really feel away... More

We chose Ecolodge Adventures in part because of their commitment to a sustainable lifestyle. Staying with Fernando and Amory was a great experience. By the time we had to leave, we felt like family. Our advice is to stay at least three nights so that you have a chance for good weather to enjoy kayaking at dawn. Early morning patience... More
