This Chateau is fantastic. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The rooms are fabulous. And the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We had many requests of the staff and they helped us on all accounts. Special thanks to Rosine who helped us greatly! I highly recommend Chateau la Caniere.

Our family spend 2 nights at this remarkable chateau during our track through France this summer. Booking worked without any trouble and the restaurant even contacted us in order to know if we wanted to book table during our stay - even though the restaurant was not a part of the hotel, but a separate gourmet restaurant. The property was... More

Stayed here travelling on our way back to the UK. We were upgraded to an executive suite which was well appointed with a large king sized bed. Separate bathroom and Loo, downside was the shower head had to be held. Staff very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.

We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed the surroundings and the pool for 2 days. Restaurant Le Lavoisier, part of the hotel, was lovely as well with very nice food, although it was quite expensive. Room with separate bathroom was great. Wonderful king size bed! Very peaceful place!! Definatelly coming back!

We stayed for 2 nights. This is a hotel pretending to be 5 stars. The staff are very helpful but the rooms need refurbing to be 5 star. The curtain could not be tied back during they as the clasp was missing. The staff said it had been reported but no-one had bothered to fx it. The bathroom is part... More

Superb hotel and restaurant but nothing close to a five star hotel according to international standards. Rooms are nice and nicely designed though strangely organized with integrated bathrooms (maybe to pretend the room is bigger than it is?) Restaurant is superb with excellent sevice

What a great hotel in the middle of nowhere. Stopped here for a night on the way to Switzerland for skiing and the hotel and restaurant are faultless. Comfortable room with countryside views, well heated with a large comfortable bed with toppers (needed on most French mattresses), walk in shower, large TV with English language options. Girl at reception was... More

Me and my daughter found this by chance on our way back from Provence to Stockholm. The castle is vey nice and the room was suitably stylish and had great beads. We choose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and that turned out to be something really extraordinairy. A very well composed menu along with recommendation of wines, locally... More

There is no doubt that this is a magnificent building, and a stay here is an experience. However not all is perfect. The room facilities were definitely not 5 star, and we found an infestation of beetles!! Breakfast was also a disappointment and definitely not commensurate with the €160 a night off season tariff. The good news is that we... More

My wife and I stayed in Chateau La Carniere and it was not only nicely quiet and peaceful but we got a friendly welcome and the room we had was very well appointed (thoughtful mix of modern and classic). Supper was extremely good and usual high french cuisine standards (Monsieur La Chef did produced dishes with some very interesting and... More
