Recently stayed one night at Hammet House.. We got lost but found it eventually - a bit off the beaten track. We had a fabulous room, huge comfortable bed, lovely pillows and so quiet - had a great night's sleep. The decor of the bedroom was of a higher standard than the bathroom, perhaps they are planning to refurb it... More

Visited for two nights on "Escape Luxury" package. Warmly welcomed and shown to room 7. Bedroom large with quirky décor, mix of old and modern. Bathroom modern and spacious. Lounge and bar decorated in Grey, not to our taste and again with a mix of old and modern décor. Dined in "Fine Dining" restaurant on first night and thought food... More

We'd booked a deal with Living Social that included 2 nights B&B and afternoon tea. We arrived at 2.00pm and our room wasn't ready so we sat out on the croquet lawn and had a cup of tea to wait. No one came to tell us when it was available, so we went back at 3.00pm and found that it... More

What an amazing hotel! Such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. And the food is to die for! The grounds are beautifully presented and there is even giant jenga! It is decorated beautifully and everywhere you look there's something awesome to see. And the beds are sooo comfy and our room had freshly made flap jacks :-)

Lovely country house, stayed for one night and would defiantly return. Recently refurbished with a ...contemporary look. If your expecting tradition forget it! This hotel is very different! Part Malmason chic, part art gallery. It works, I think if only from a fun perspective. However I would say the attention to detail on some of the decorating is lacking. The... More

we recently stayed in the above hotel, we received a good deal on the price which about right for what we received but I wouldn't pay the full price, the hotel has a combination of modern furniture and old furniture which in my opinion fails to hit the mark. great food separate message under restaurant

Beautiful location, lovely building. Food excellent. Service good. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary so we took the dinner bed and breakfast offer which included cocktails each evening plus a bottle of bubbly one evening. Very clean and professional. We thought the decor was a bit confused or quirky in some respects. My feelings reflected some of the... More

Beautiful boutique country house hotel in tranquil grounds. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Food really, really good. Breakfast, dinner, whatever- everything was beautifully cooked and presented. A nice, varied, balanced menu too. Good use of local produce- which is important to me. We stayed in an 'outstanding' room and although very nice, it's a way-off being 'outstanding'. I appreciate... More
