Banana Lodge was simple and clean, with helpful hosts. Our room was spacious, with a decent sized bathroom with good water pressure. Anna and Eduardo helped us arrange a jungle tour, which was appreciated. The towels, soap, toilet paper, etc. were replenished daily. The hosts also provided helpful advice on how to reach our next destination, Quito. The lodge is... More

The location is about a 10 minute walk from the village or $1 taxi ride. The setting on the river is beautiful and the grounds are well landscaped and kept. The rooms are spacious and clean. Warm water supply is a bit iffy, because they use a heating element built into the shower head. Breakfast is simple but good. Anna... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in late February, and couldn't have been happier with our choice of Misahualli accomodations. Our host, Anna, served us delicious breakfasts, & provided us with helpful information about tours and things to do & see in the area. The lodge itself was lovely, set right on the river, where we enjoyed the view and... More

We were on a budget and I was glad to find a place in the Amazon that offered good facilities for the price they offered. The only ones that were similar in quality to this hotel were boutique Amazon lodges charging considerably more. The owners were very courteous and helpful. I made a reservation through email and they replied really... More

From the beginning to the end our stay was excellent. The staff was very helpful, always friendly and caring. The room was perfectly clean and nothing was missing. The banana lodge is located directly above the river with an amazing view and still it is just a 5 min walk to the center of the town with all the restaurants... More

We flew in to Quito, spent the night, woke up and drove to the Banana Lodge. It's a GREAT little Inn close to town. It is also right on the river which makes for beautiful scenery. Anna; the Inn keeper coordinated a jungle tour for us with Carlos which was wonderful. If you're going to this area I highly recommend... More

This is a semi-luxurious hostel is just a few minutes from the central park and right on the river. Ana was a great host and willing to help with everything. The beach area on the river was the perfect secluded spot to chill out. The rooms were great; clean and comfortable and a really good value. I'd definitely recommend this... More

Nearby natural jungle surroundings as well as nearby native villages. The Lodge itself is by all means comfortable, with spacy rooms that are very clean, well taken care off, everyday, and with internet access. I enjoyed the friendly advice of both Ana & Eduardo-the owners-on what to do in the region, how to travel, and where to go for a... More

We stayed 2 nights with our 10 year old daughter. The rooms are new, large and very clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the shower is hot. The breakfast, with home baked fresh bread, fruit, and delicious coffee, was perfect. It is about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the plaza with monkeys. I highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Banana Lodge. Can't believe how cheap it was for the level of room/bathroom/friendliness and overall awesomeness of this place. Definitely highly recommended and the town of Mishuali is so chilled, relaxed and friendly. We felt so welcome and safe and had the best time. Go there and see for yourselves
