We arrived into Vizzavone after 9 days trek on GR20. Decided as it was late not to camp but to see if there was a hotel room free. Came across this hotel as we walked into town from path and enquired. Price was reasonable for double room with shower cost about 80 euros - old fashioned and shabby but must... More

I fell in love with the atmosphere and the forest setting of this hotel, and with the shabby elegance of the large salon for the guests. You almost feel as if you have entered the land of fairy tale. The food was extremely good, and the owner went out of her way to please, as did the rest of the... More

Sometimes you arrive in a strange place that gets under your skin. This mountain hotel is such a place. From the moment you walk in the lobby it feels very strange. It is like walking in a private house far away from the civilized world. The hotel is not bad but it is not my kind of place to have... More

if you are looking for a trip in time and lovely warm '800 true feeling this is the place. Restaurant very good, old regional family recipes in perhaps too abundant portions. If you are crossing the island I would suggest at least a lunch if you can't spend the night. Often fully books during summer time. Call to make a... More

The very professional looking photos on their (flash) website left an idea of charm, silence and a bit of old fashioned grandeur in my mind. The main building was fully booked and so we were offered a room in one of the "chalets" (154 EUR half board) and I fancied myself sitting on a terrace with a glass of vine... More

This hotel was exactly as we had expected it to be. No frills accommodation owned and run by a rather matriarchal lady with rooms that could easily have been mistaken for hospital wards. However, the beds were very comfortable and the size of the rooms meant that there was enough air to be able to breath and not get too... More

Very nice old house, most warm and friendly atmosphere, great location for travelers of all kind. The owner is an extraordinary lady, who is very attentive to the needs of the guests. The hotel has also a good restaurant in it.
