We booked here to visit the Somme battlefields. We stayed at Lille Novotel the previous night and their high standards continued to Amiens. Excellent friendly restaurant staff. Quiet, fresh, spacious room. Not much to occupy visitors in the hotel's immediate vicinity but in June the swimming pool opens and it looks a grand spot. Recommended for young families. more

This is a decent hotel with a good location. You can get some good deals at this Novotel - it's not one of the top quality hotels in the chain, but the standard is decent enough. Most importantly, it's one of the few chains that lets you have two children in your room. The rooms are OK - warm enough... more

Room great but air con crap with hot nights no air in room even with window open. Food great menu but overpriced and poorly served. Warm rather than hot and when complaint made staff indifferent (shrugg of shoulders and suddenly could not understand english). Breakast overpriced and hot dishes cold. Ideal location for motorway and tunnell. more

We stayed at the Novotel from 25 April for three nights, after one night in the Premiere Class, Glisy (next door). They were able to accommodate us at short notice, including providing a cot for our toddler. The staff were all nice, and generally spoke enough English for us all to get by. The hotel was full of Australian travellers... more

We stayed in this hotel after going to one of England’s rugby world cup games. The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant which had a well thought out menu and the food was excellent for the price. We had to pay extra for... more

We booked this hotel as an overnight stop and it was fine for that. Standard Novotel layout with double bed and sofabed (mattresses somewhat hard.) Room had a kettle which was nice as not all Novotels have this. We hadn't booked the restaurant, but the waiter accommodated us and the food was fine - we just had an omelette and... more

We stayed here overnight on the way home (driving from England back to Switzerland). We were looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable hotel with no parking hassles (attached preferably free carpark) since we knew we'd arrive relatively late, and that is exactly what we got. It's not in Amiens actually, it's in Buves, which is about a 10-15 minute drive... more

We are a family of 5 and had two large adjoining rooms which were nicely decorated. The staff where very nice and spoke very good english although french would have been fine for us. The breakfast was very nice and well presented. We had travelled from the south of France for 9 hours and this was a good resting place... more
