Great for a couple of days, hidden away from kandy and within reach of the golf course at Victoria which is fab! Food was quite expensive for what it was but the set up and feel is great. I heard they also had a choir at xmas singing carols which would have been very romantic. more

I had booked an alternative hotel in Kandy. On arrival at Helga's Folly I realised it was dusty and the baths did not work. I was tired from a long road trip from Bentota. This may be a perfect hotel. Charming, intimate, comfortable areas to read, a wonderful (and happy) staff, extraordinary attention to detail and comfort--excellent food (a rare thing in Sri Lanka)....a lovely pool....but there is not much in Kandy itself--so, look on your stay here as a charming retreat, and enjoy it for what it is. more
