Hochsoelden is our new favourite family ski destination out of many, many resorts. Location is superb: it's high (2100m) so the snow will always be reliable (also, most of the ski area is above 1800m). You ski out of the boot room onto an (easy) red piste which takes you a few hundred yards down to the chairlift up to... More

The Enzian is clearly one of those hotels that takes a living out of its exclusive location, Hochsölden. You have to know that Hochsölden does not consist of much more than 5 Hotels and a couple of ski material shops. In exchange it lies next to the ski slope, giving you best access you could possibly imagine to one of... More

Since we went skiing twice in Hochsölden within the space of two weeks, we stayed at both the Enzian and the Edelweiss. Thus the first part of this review is the same as the one for the Edelweiss, in case any readers are comparing. The tiny village of Hochsölden is located at the north wing of the Sölden skiing area.... More

We stayed in Alpenhotel Enzian for 6 nights and we'll be leaving in 1 hour. First of all the biggest plus of the hotel is that it's a ski-in and out hotel which makes it great after a long tiring skiing day. The second great thing about the hotel is that it has spacious rooms (ours was a junior deluxe... More

We spend a weekend here in beginning of March. The hotel is nicely located in the centre of Hochsolden which is just some 5 hotels and some houses together. The hotel is nice, the people are very friendly and the service is quick. The bar and restaurant are nice with a great view on the slopes. The restaurant offers a... More

The hotel is clean, installations are good (ok), and the personal are nice and try to do their best. Location for skiing is perfect. The hotel could have potential to be a very good location.... ... but only if for you the quality of food is not at all an important criteria. I'm so surprised about other comments here, I... More

Great place for families and everybody, very comfortable, on the slopes- you just wear ski and have fun , delicious food, spacious rooms, wonderful ski school for children just nearby the hotel, a llitlle bit too expensive but worth it, beautiful views from the rooms on the slopes, nice , warm and sunny terrace the best place I was in... This hotel is great if you're there for the skiing. If you don't ski, don't go there. Hochsölden is an artificial plateau located several km's above the actual village of Solden and it consists of 5 hotels and 2 skishops and that's it. You can't go anywhere unless you drive or take an expensive taxi (€ 28 one-way to Sölden).... More

My husband and I spent Christmas here this year and we really enjoyed the hotel. I would say its good for a few nights, but afterwards the food starts the taste the same (halfboard) and there really isnt much else to do- if the snow is not good. You are way up on the hill, which is really cool but... More

The location is brilliant. The food is of very high quality however, the service is very inconsistent. With the exception of Boris and Magdelena it is a little like faulty towers in the restaurant! The first night we were on dessert before our wine arrived! On New Years eve even though we had to select everything at breakfast for dinner... More
