Great rooms, great food, great location, great hosts. We travel the world and can only compliment most every aspect of our stay for two nights and would say this place is special. The suites are great, we were in Elk based on mixed comments on the reviews: I would ask for Owl as it is the top of two floors.... More

My boyfriend and I just spent 2 fantastic evenings at Mt Engadine Lodge after a 5-day stay at Mt Assiniboine Provincial Park. We were dirty and tired after the hike out from Assiniboine with our packs but Mallory put us right at ease with the delicious afternoon tea and a few well-earned beers. We stayed in the Elk room and... More

8 of us stayed there in Mid-March for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The views were spectacular. Went snowshoeing every day (they supply the snowshoes) . But the best part was the service and food. The staff went out of their way on several occassions to make sure the fire was... More

Mt Engadine Lodge is an unpretentious lodge hidden away in Kananaskis, Alberta. Since my last visit, the lodge has refreshed it's rooms with new paint. updated bathrooms, new beds and new bedding. The common areas in the lodge have new cushy sofas to lounge on while you gaze at the staggeringly beautiful scenery outside. There are two fireplaces in the... More

With our family otherwise busy over Christmas this year my husband and I decided to do something special for ourselves for Christmas by booking into Mount Engedine Lodge. We were not disappointed. The time we spent there was relaxing, we met some very wonderful people and the food was magnificent. What a treat to have such a great Christmas dinner... More

My husband & I fell in love with Spray Lakes area so much we decided to Elope there in March 2013. Mount Engadine Lodge provided us the opportunity to get married in the 'wilderness' without sacrificing on luxury! We are so glad we found this little gem! The staff were so lovely to us, very warm and welcoming! The food... More

Mt. Engadine Lodge is in one word perfect. The innkeepers and staff were very friendly and helped us plan our (snowshoe) hikes. We had a nice room (Owl) with two windows overlooking the meadows. All the food (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner) is delicious. It’s nice to eat together with the other guests.

We went with an alumni group and just loved this place. Staff was outstanding, food was delicious and we saw several moose up close every day. The mountains and view from the lodge are unbelievable. Great hiking trails nearby. The lodge is about 1 hour from Canmore and there is no cell service and limited internet at the lodge. We... More

I stopped in at the lodge earlier in the year, just to have a look, and was really impressed with the possibility of coming back, so 3 of us booked one night at the lodge on September 18, 2013. It's in an incredible location - isolated yet close, with a grand view of the Spray Valley south of Canmore, Alberta.... More

Found this place by reading reviews on Trip Advisor, and it was absolutely perfect. It is in the middle of no where (but don't let the 37 km drive on a gravel road scare you away) - and surrounded by beautiful scenery. We had spent part of the day in Banff, and were not happy w/ the hordes of people... More
