We stayed for only one night in the Marie Antionette Suite - One double room and one room with 2 single beds with interconnecting doors. Bathroom was in our room, very powerful toilet flush (with a pump) which caused amusement to us all! Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Chateau is impressive to look at and set in lovely grounds.... More

Its very old and sympathetically restored to maintain authenticity but at the expense of all that you would expect from an expensive b&b. The toilet was down the corridor and the shower was acceptable but not not exceptional, the washbasin had poor water supply. The owner was very pleasant and helpful but the room information was missing the fact that... More

The Chateau de Villiers is a beautiful to stay at. The family is are very welcoming, even though there is not a 'reception' there is a bell to ring so no need to hover around or look for someone. There is also a nice field in which you can picnic or play on. Also with this they have animas which... More

We stayed at Chateau de Villiers for one night stopover on our way back to the UK. We liked the look of the place, it was really quiet, but no one came to welcome us when we got there. So we made our own way to find someone in there. The spirit of the place is eco friendly and organic.... More

Very impressive when you arrive, a warm welcome by Fabienne. The chateau has great character and the owners have done their best to keep the original features. The rooms lovely, although the La Chambre du Potager room is small and toilet outside of the room. We asked to be moved to La Chambre du Lys, a lovely blue room, with... More

We decided to stay at Chateau de Villiers as it was on our way 'home'. Overall we enjoyed our stay but felt that it was very over-priced. As other reviewers have explained, it is very much a 'home more than a hotel' and you simply must remember this when booking. There is no 'reception', so when we arrived, we just... More

Remote and authentic. Lived in by a charming family who are happy to help with any requirements. A long way from even the local village - which is VERY small.

Deciding to drive to Normandy from London for a long weekend and hoping to explore a bit of the Loire Valley, we spent two nights at the Chateau de Villiers. The Chateau is a living home for the Rollo family so when you stay here you have to realise you are staying in someone's home rather than just a guest... More

The château is a landmark property, and unlike many such homes, is relaxed, lived-in and clearly a family home. If the owners keep a low profile, that adds to the impression that they are happy to let their guests use their home as their own. We stayed one night in the chambre du potager - a charming small room, with... More

My husband, two daughters and I had a wonderful mini break in the Chateau de Villiers. This chateau, which is also a beautiful family home is so well kept and romantic and a fantastic relaxing location in Normandy. We were made feel very welcome by our hosts, we ate in See which is very near by and well worth the... More
