The hotel must have ben very nice - when it was last refurbished and that was a very long time ago indeed. The restaurant is especially poor and I assume it survives simply as it is impossible to walk anywhere else and Harrogate itself is a £12 taxi ride (each way). I was there for a business conference, my room... more

Went to Nidd Hall with elderly and disabled mother for an 7 day break. We can now see how this place can either inspire rave comments or dire reports. The Bank Holiday weekend had the Hollies and a great Liverpudlian comedian as the entertainement, and this attracted a "younger" (ie ave age 65) clientele. It was brilliant, even though the... more

Just had a two night break with best friend to celebrate our 40th b'days. Beautiful hotel and grounds. The bedroom was really nice and the beds were really comfortable (had a major refurbishment), exceptionally clean. The food was excellent and all the staff were friendly. The leisure facilities were so relaxing. Could have done with a sat nav to find... more

just returned from 3 night weekend break; not sure what toexpect after reading previous reviews! In room 112 - ground floor in East Wing . Spacious room but would recommend asking for a ground floor room to get the patio doors to patio. -costs very slightly more. Bathrooms have clearly recently been touched up - retiled, but perhaps could have... more

We were at Nidd Hall with my parents and on arrival the hotel and grounds looked fantastic, check-in was speedy and with little fuss, Room 23 I think must have just been decorated and of a 5* standard. My parents room the Ingleby Suite again of of a excellent standard and the size of the bedroom was enormous and awaiting... more

We booked a 2 night stay in a Main house Royal suite. On arrival we found Champagne, chocolates & strawberries in our suite. My wife was a little overcome by the lovely spacious suite, with separate bedroom, living room and toilets, together with the spectacular building & its location. This was a special treat for her 50th birthday. What seriously... more

Have just returned from a two night break at this hotel in a beautiful setting. We had a basic room which was clean and tidy. There was no milk for our coffees but when we telephoned reception, the milk arrived within five minutes with apologies. The double bed was large but needed a new mattress as there were two definite... more

Before you read this, one thing I will say is, yes I would go back to this hotel for weekend, not as a couple but as a family group or group of friends it was, as the saying goes, 'just peachy'. I have just returned from a girls weekend at the Nidd Hall Hotel and having read numerous reviews beforehand... more
