It is a fairly long drive through the Savannah to this spot but worth it if you love geological formations. The tour provided is very informative and goes at an easy pace that would suit most people. It is very hot there so take sunscreen and a hat. There is a pool available but if you travel during the Green... More

My partner and four of our friends had an excellent camping experience. So secluded, awesome pool and amenities. We enjoyed the wildlife, star gazing and camp fire as well. Highly recommend, if you're in the area of Cairns or the Atherton Tablelands this is a must do!

We stayed one night and used the safari tents (we had been camping ourselves but took the opportunity to have a permanent tent set up for the night). There had been recent heavy rain and in calling through the day before our visit Peta was very helpful. Was very quiet as it was the off season so this meant the... More

We weren't planning on staying in Undara but we are glad we did! There are a good selection of walks, of differing levels of difficulty, which allow you to explore the beautiful surroundings. We completed a short walk which where we were able to see miles of the of the beautiful savannah. The highlight of the trip was definitely the... More

We chose to stay in the converted railway carriage accommodation (I'm an old Sunlander traveller and wanted a bit of nostalgia) but were a little disappointed. Privacy is hard to come by as the shades don't restrict inquisitive eyes from roaming into the cabin, whether you are in it or not!! Some of the windows wouldn't work so cross breezes... More

Just back from a fabulous trip to Undara in the Queensland Savannah. We experienced amazing bush walks, tours to the jaw dropping Lava Tubes, beautiful sunsets, bats, bush turkeys and lots lots more. At night we had great fun by the campfire serenaded by Bram Collins whose family have worked and cared for this land for over 150 years. We... More

We booked our visit to stay in one of the huts, you can stay in converted train carriages and didn't know what to expect, we were very pleased and surprised. The huts had their own decked areas and inside was home from home, lovely, clean and everything you could need including air con, the only thing it didn't have was... More

We really enjoyed camping here - the bush sites are really big, kangaroos wandering all around, great amenities, very friendly staff. Had a lovely meal in the bistro - with a view of the night bush which is hard to beat!

Great staff, friendly, stayed in an ensuite hut, but more a cabin, rather share a bathroom !! Huts fairly new and nice and and clean with views of local bush setting and wildlife. If you're hut/carriage staying, there's no provision for cooking, bar fridge in cabins and coffe and tea making facilities available. Nice food at restaurant, free tea and... More

G'day 772Darleo, Thanks for your feedback after your recent visit to Undara Experience. It's very much appreciated. The Pioneers Huts have proved to be so popular that we have decided to build another 4 this Summer which will increase our numbers to 10 huts. The ensuited & air-conditioning is very popular in Summer and as we're currently refurbishing our railway... More
