We stayed mid week in August for a few days as a winter break. Booked a one bedroom loft suite - which from the photos on the website appears to have stunning water views from numerous windows in the bedroom. When we checked in after carrying our own bags up the 2 flights of stairs to the bedroom we were... More

We recently stayed at the Anchorage as it was recommended by friends. The renovations have finished (except for the reception area) but still a lot of tradesmen around. We stayed in a standard room on the lower ground. We were given the option of staying in a loft room (upstairs) but opted for the former as it had all day... More

I have stayed here twice, before and after renovations. The location is awesome. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the towels were the fluffiest I've ever experienced in a hotel stay (it's the little things). I do think the upstairs rooms are much nicer and more private than the downstairs rooms, however that's just my opinion. You do... More

This week end we attended a family wedding at this resort. Absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding. A few different things to comment on: Accommodation - very nice rooms, plenty of space, comfortable, great view from our room. Wedding Venue - staff were excellent, very helpful. Food was fantastic, catered for my Gluten Free very well, no trouble to them.... More

didn't expect to have renovations going on when we paid full price for our room, $300 for the first night and $400 for the second night, its not cheap accommodation when its been renovated, I think Hotels should be accountable and advise when renovations are in progress

for a hotel which sells itself as 5 star, it fails badly. Wifi only for 30 minutes a day in room. One hour in the restaurant. Normally I don't spend my mealtimes on the iPad. Very poor. It was necessary to visit the tourist information booth down downtown to send and receive emails. Also asked to pay for espresso coffee... More

We arrived at the anchorage and we was amazed at the location and the view. We checked in and our ground floor room was very nice and to receive the bottle of bubbly as a birthday gift was a great surprise. A little hic up with room service was swiftly resolved. The area is beautiful and on arrival at the... More

For location, you can't beat it; blazing orange sunrises over the sparkling Nelson Bay, luxury boats lolling in the Marina, pelicans gliding by. The service is warm, unobtrusive, the full breakfast satisfying. Good size rooms and most, I believe, are now revamped - white washed, Cape Cod look. Soft, fluffy towels. Unfortunately, there are still some renovations/extensions going on so... More

Fabulous views but very overpriced. Paid $325.66 per night, 2 people, in winter. Pay more if book direct. Was not told of renovations - no spa for now. Room average. Don't expect to unpack - one dresser drawer. Small bedside drawer, big enough for spectacles, but don't expect to read. No over head lights, just a few lamps with low... More

Charged $30 per night extra than quoted. Not told about complimentry breakfast included till checkout. Suppose to have received letter of confirmation. Restaurant expensive with small selection of main courses. Stayed 3 nights due to receiving a voucher for part of stay. Had to makeup considerable shortfall. Complimentry newspaper only local paper. Wont be back. Room was pleasant. Expensive at $269-... More
