We stayed here for three nights. We had mixed feelings about the place. First of all the hotel seemed to be oriented toward businesses and events (weedings), and beeing a couple on vacation we didn't feel like we fitted in here. During the evenings (weekend) there were few other guests around and we ate dinner alone in the ala carte... More

This place is designed to impress as you arrive, with a big driveway, big buildings and big grounds. And big meeting rooms with decor I can only describe as "interesting". If you're just looking for a reasonable room and decent, plentiful food for a large gathering, which is what I was there for, it worked fine. The selling point is... More

I was here for a business trip, travelling alone. Maybe too elegant for me (when I arrived, a big wedding was going on), but beautiful anyway. Big garden, swimming pools, spa etc. Breakfast very very abundant! Not very comfortable if you want to visit the city center.

As a thermal resort, we found the Kaya as the most elegant, very well located in Balcova's historic site where the original thermal water once healed the ailing daughter of Greece's King Agamemnon, centuries ago. It is beautiful setting for a Resort with wast land and well maintained grounds and gardens. Kaya has it all, very lavishly furnished rooms, excellent... More

This hotel is clearly a business hotel. I only saw groups that were participating in all sorts of conventions. No children or families. It also hosts weddings and such. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is a bit smaller. My room had a great view. The hotel has a spectacular lobby and elevators that look out onto that... More

In the time of "troubles" in Izmir last summer I was staying in Kaya Hotel which is far away from Izmir downtown. This is a very nice hotel but definitely not for a business trip. There was a loud party in the garden till 23pm, breakfast from 7am only. Check in and out took pretty long as this is a... More

This is a good hotel - nice / clean / modern rooms, a lovely spa area (the outdoor spa pool and sunbed area is really lovely),I didn't try the big outdoor pool because it was early October and too cold. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Wifi was available free and everywhere, I had no big issues with the... More

My husband and I are international travellers and have stayed in many countries and cities around the world. Our rating for this is hardly 2*. We've stayed at 3* hotels and had better experiences for MUCH less money! Pros: thermal pools; breakfast; shuttle to shops; wifi worked but was slooooow. Cons: AC (please keep reading); no airport shuttle (despite what... More
