I came home from a two week stay in Elpida a couple of days ago, it was by far one of my favourite family holidays. I went with my parents and younger sister and they agreed that it was one of the best holidays they'd been on. The hotel itself wasn't situated in a very busy area, there weren't many... More

Budget hotel for European families. Terrible food. They offer an all inclusive option for $15 per person. Wine, beer, coffee, juice, and well drinks are included, (the soda tasted weird and the wine is from a soda dispenser, alcohol is watered down), but the food is so horrible it's not worth it. It is worse than cafeteria food, they served... More

Dear Ms. Lara, yes we are a budget hotel, and mostly for European families. And yes families often include kids. I don't know how to reply to someone who has a problem with that and considers a Con the fact that there are kids. Having experience of food in NY (including "cafeteria food") all I can say it that I... More

After reading some of the other reviews on here I was concerned we had made a mistake. The hill is steep and the family rooms are at the bottom so hard walk up and down for anything, at the hotels main complex. Although aware of the hill before booking anymore than ten days would have been a grind. Now the... More

We are a family of five just returned from a week at the Elpida and like some other reviewers feel it has got a bad press. We arrived late at night to be met at the bottom of the hill and escorted to the bar for a much needed soft drink. The hotel has a very pretty entrance with many... More

This is my first review on trip advisor and felt that this hotel got so much undeserved bad press I had to write something. My husband and I were there for 2 weeks in September - i read all the reviews before booking but felt that the positives outwayed the negatiives.I was not disappointed. The staff were all lovely and tried... Hi just back from a week at the Elpida and thought I would share these views . The hotel itself is fine, but be warned it is set on a large hill and I mean Large . On arrival we were met at the bottom of the hill and the cases were thrown into the back of a pick up and... More

I have spent a week there in mid-September. The hotel grounds are amazing - the pool is great (very deep with separate kid's pool), there is lots of sunbeds around the pool and on the grass in the garden. There are also some shaded areas for those who prefer to stay out of the sun. As the hotel is situated... More

We stayed from the 20th to the 27th of August and found the hotel to be exactly as advertised. After a nightmare transfer (nothing to do with the hotel by the way) we were met at the bottom of the hill (4.30 am!!!) and our luggage transported to reception this type of service was typical during our stay. The staff... More

We stayed at the Elpida Hotel for 7 days in September. The weather was ideal, hot enough in the day to sunbathe, but not unbearable. The pool area was clean and comfortable. The nearby beach was stunning, well worth visiting. Unfortunately there were a couple of negatives during our stay; firstly the transfer. This took 2.5 hours, despite being advertised... More

lovely people (the other guests) but food was awful, recycled from lunch to dinner with a different sauce over it, Lidl's finest drinks all watered down, as long as you like cheap brandy, raki or ouzo or watered down beer, snacks at the bar are not even worth serving, horrible old sandwiches from recyled ham and cheese left over from...
