Nice place, people very kind. Good for horse riding, trails, safari. Good meals! I think is a good place where to stay with a good price/quality ratio. Quite far from the jaguar most frequented area, but they organize specific safari. Recommended!

Thanks to the hospitality of Joao Luiz Spies, the manager of the German owned hotel, our family of two adults and three children had a great two days and night at the hotel. Joao Luiz who is of German and Swiss extraction but grew up in Brazil (while attending school in Argentina across the border because the Brazilian military rulers... More

We chose this pousada, well, because of the price. With a hindsight it was a great choice! The pousada (almost a resort if compared to some others in the neighbourhood) is runned by a Swiss-Brazilian family and there are dozens of people woriking in it to keep it clean and functioning every day. The meals are really satisfying (don't be... More

I did not want to write a review immediately as it would have been tainted by my anger. So, I waited almost a year and can now objectively say the owner is the kind of person you should avoid. We chose this pousada because it was less expensive than many other options and looked acceptable. We soon regretted this decision... More

As with most Transpantaneira pousadas, this is grossly overpriced. We left on a sour note, after being slugged on leaving with a payment demand for $$ for a boat trip which was clearly included in the booking. Beware! The owner is refusing any re-imbursement, and clearly greedily $$ driven, not guest-oriented. The English speaking manager was friendly and wildlife knowledgeable.... More

I choose this place because the price was very reasonnable. We paid 66 Euros per person full board, including 2 free excursions (boat + horse riding). Before leaving I had researched many pousadas on the Transpantaneira and I have to say that UESO is among the cheaper ones. The things I liked about UESO Pantanal: *The price of the accommodation... I stayed here as it was booked by my german travel agency SouthAmericaTravel.net. They have two lodges - one south, and one off the trans pantanal I was the only guest in their southern lodge, which is lovely, but shows some signs of deterioration. Well looked after by Sonia. I was outnumbered by staff. As my german is VERY poor... More

More

I visited the Ueso pousadas in June 2010. June may not be peak season in the Pantanal but I thought it was an ideal time of the year. There was only a small number of tourists, the climate was extremely pleasant (especially after leaving the Melbourne winter behind) and there was plenty of wildlife to see, which is of course...
