Pantanal Wildlife Center also known as the Santa Tereza lodge is a wonderful place to stay at. It is probably the best organized lodge in the Pantanal. We stayed at several lodges and this was the best one. The Pantanal isn’t a touristic place and you notice this at the lodges. But the PWC is very good. The owner knows... More

We've stayed here for three nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Rooms are good and include airco (which we didn't need, but when you are there in summer you will like this). Food is very good. We've done the boattours a few times, went horsebackriding and walked some short hiking trails. This lodge is locate on the river. There... More

Visiting this place was definitively a highlight on my 6 week trip to Brazil ! A few comments on specific elements of the trip: Location: I have spent quite some time in the Amazon rain forest. However I have to admit that Pantanal offers some great wildlife observation chances. The further south on the Transpantaneira you can go, the better... More

My family and I (kids 11 and 14) did the 3 night package at the Pantanal WIldlife Center over the Christmas holidays. Since this the low season, we had the whole place to ourselves and our own English guide (Jo). It was supposed to be the rainy season but, due to unusual weather patterns, it was mostly sunny and dry... More

This lodge was very rustic and well located on a river which offered excellent bird and animal viewing. The guide allocated to us, Judy, was excellent and worked in well with our boatman. The plentiful food was of good quality and very healthy. There were a couple of fixed viewing platforms accessed by ladder/stairs and one had a Jabiru nest... More

We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights and had a brilliant time. Although not "birders" which seemed to be the main draw for other guests we saw some amazing birds, mammals and reptiles. Our guide, Allison, was very knowledgeable and tailored the excursions to our more general, want to see everything needs. We went for treks, boat rides,... More

The Pantanal Wildlife Center (PWC), previously known as Fazenda Santa Tereza, is at Kilometre 66 on the Transpanteneira, THE road into the northern Pantanal. Don't be fooled by their address of Pocone into thinking it is near Pocone town. That means 1.5 hours transfer (they send an airconditioned minivan) once you reach the unmetalled Transpantaneira (add 2 hours to that... More
