We stayed two nights at the pousada. The place is well maintained and English is spoken by some of the staf. There is a pool and an a small playground for children. We went on a tractor safari for two and a half hours the first day and were amazed by the beauty and the wildlife. We saw many different... More

We have visited this resort twice and have loved it both times. The staff is very responsive, trustworthy, and gracious. Some speak English. The guides are very informative and know the local fauna and flora. We have visited in both the winter (hot and dry) and summer (cooler and wet) seasons. Both seasons have their advantages. More animals are seen... More

Simple accommodation with a good buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner close to a large lake with wonderful birds both on the property and from the boat. Trip. Internet available in the restaurant area. Delightful staff.

The pousada piuval is a great place in the middle of nowhere, only nature everywhere around. Staff is outstandingly friendly and helpful, waiter during lunch time will be your guide in the afternoon. Everything is quite well maintained (of course, do not expect 5 star hotel service), food is diversified and very tasty. We enjoyed two nights, 3 days, had... More

I suppose it would be possible to find a more enjoyable place to stay in the Pantanal, but it's hard for me to imagine it. I spent 3 wonderful days there, solo, in Oct. 2014. My experience was so good, I added a night. As a lower-budget traveller traditionally, this is saying a lot because the price is not at... More

This fazienda was wonderful!. The food was excellent, staff wonderful, accommodations were good as was the wildlife. The property was one of the most beautiful in the pantanal. This is a real working farm and you will see cows and horses on property and there is horseback riding available if you wish. This of the 3 lodges we stayed had... More

Piuval is the first hostel at Transpantaneira, and it is located only 10 kilometers from the Poconé, which can be an advantage in certain cases, due to the fact that the transport in Transpantaneira can be quite expensive and complicated, however, on the other hand, if you want to explore wildlife that is found easily at Transpantaneira you will have... This Comfortable pousada about 13km down the highway from picone, 1.5 hr drive from Cuiaba airport. At this point you are not actually in the pantenella. If I had to plan this trip again I would choose one closer to the national park. They offer horseback riding, hiking and a boat ride. I was most looking forward to to boat... More

We stayed at pousada Piuval for 2 nights in the end of our stay in the Pantanal and liked it very much. It was not very far from Pocone and has nice views and surroundings and is family friendly. We only had one boat ride planned but that wasnt possible because of excessive growth of the plants in the river.... More

We paid $1000+ dollars for 2 people for an overnight visit here. We figured it's okay since the experiences described sounded so good (ecological trek, alligator spotting, piranha fishing). Don't get me wrong, the surrounding area is beautiful, but the lodge is average at best, and the activities described above were either significantly below expectations, or simply did not happen....
