Lovely place right on the river. Perfect escape. We had a room in the lodge on the outside of the hotel. It was very nice, adequate for our needs. The cleaner was just finishing rooms when we arrived, a little early. He was very helped and offered to carry my bags up the stairs leading to the rooms. Lovely large... More

I'm appalled by this place. Myself, my partner and friend and.her partner booked a "hotel room" here. We arrived to he told that one of.us had to stay in the.lodge room outside. So we asked.if.we.could both stay next.to each other. We got.to the.room and my.friends stank of rotten eggs\sewers. Ours was dirty. Had 2 spiders and less than half of... More

We needed to stop in Bath on the Saturday night of the Badminton Horse trials - not much choice at high prices. We were surprised we could get in here at a good price. Previous reviews had prepared us: the dingy cramped room (in the main hotel) with sparse facilities and ‘budget’ cooked breakfast were as expected; we arrived early... More

The view from room 107 was wonderful, looking over the river and weir to the countryside beyond. That said, the room lacked many features expected of it as the price is high. The hair dryer was next to the bed and the mirror was on the other side of the bed, luckily it could be moved across to the dryer... More

Went for my yearly visit to Bath and last time I stayed here too. I honestly would not go anywhere else. I spent 2 nights here. This Hotel is absolutely lovely. The rooms are clean and have everything you need and there was no need for a waterbed and a golden toilet as some idiots would expect. The staff were... More

Apart from the location (which on the banks of a weir on the Avon is pretty), this is one to be avoided. The rooms are small and poorly furnished. The staff are pretty lacklustre and uninviting. In fact it's so uninspiring in its mediocrity that I can't be bothered writing the review. Take my word for it, move on to... More

The hotel is beautifully located and room 112 overlooking the river is lovely. Room111 overlooking the car park not so lovely but not horrible either. Staff super helpful, breakfast buffet fine, nothing special but adequate. Beds comfy, reasonable level of cleanliness. The general maintenance is a bit sloppy though - hooks fallen off door, side of bath coming away, screws... More

Stayed here for 1 night. I had room 223. Only downside I had was my room was cold and I didn't know how to change the air con. So slept in my hoodie. Quilt was a bit on the thin side too. But I had a lovely stay and my breakfast was lovely too. They had a function the Friday... More

We had a two night stay and were very happy with the room, staff and restaurant. Not too far out of Bath so we were able to walk into town (the taxi back cost £10). The only issue we had was with erratic hot/cold water in the shower.

Nice hotel, although make sure you stay in the main hotel, the annex isn’t so attractive. Rooms are good and clean and breakfast is excellent. Take your walking shoes; surrounding countryside is lovely, great pub by the river across the road and you can get a boat into the centre of Bath (seasonal) which is very nice.
