Stayed there for just a couple of days. The savoury breakfast was delicious (unlike the sweet bits), the spa was real fun if you are easily amused and admission is just 5 Euros per person. The sea view is great and the surroundings just fine. The staff were helpful BUT they spoke to us in singular while they should speak... More

Very nice hotel with great view by the sea. Excellent pools and as a bonus great play areas for children. Hotel is located slightly outside of Molivos but it is quiet and relaxing and you can easily get in to the town either with hotel minibus (4 times/day), local bus or by taxi (5€). Hotel staff is very friendly and... More

A wonderful choice, worth its money! With a variety of pools to switch among and nice gardens. Polite staff, doing their best to serve you at any time. A clean and neat room, with a wonderful sea view. Three minutes from Molyvos, but at the same time a quiet and romantic place onto the seafront, away from noisy situations. A... More

The hotel, when we booked advertised a 4* rating offering an evening buffet. This is no longer. As half board we were offered a pathetic choice of 3 meats or 2 meats & 1 fish depending on the day, with this you can have chips, saute or boiled potatoes or rice or pasta. The rice I had 1 day had... More

We stayed there at end of September 2013, for 8 days and we absolutely loved it. First of all, the location and the view the rooms get is spectacular. Molyvos is located on the north side of the Island and boasts a excavated and restored ancient fortress and a beautiful beach. The Town of Molyvos is beautifully lit at night... More

We had a great week here. The location is superb looking across the strait to Turkey, and the pools are excellent - it felt like a mini-aqualand but without the crowds! They have a decent shuttle bus into the local town which is a real delight - but we liked the tranquility of the location too The beach is small... More

Let's start with Molyvos (Mithyimna) - what a true gem on a greek island, totally unspoilt and showing visitors traditional greek styling. Sunsets we can only dream about, lovely friendly island people who genuinely want to make you feel welcome on their island. The Hotel The Alkaios is set on a hill approximately 2kms from Molyvos. A small, family owned... More

What made this Hotel for us was its pools and the two kids play areas. Just fantastic. Do not come to this resort of you want a beach holiday...the beach is rocky both in and out. You would definitely need to wear beach shoes. Had two interconnecting rooms on the first floor with a lovely outlook of the pool area... More

Located just around 2kms from Mithimna with its spectacular sea bay and remarkable castle located above, the Alkaios Hotel is one of the biggest hotel facilities in this corner of Lesvos island. Hotel is located a bit remotely from Mithimna but easily accessible either by foot (20mins) or by car. However, you can also use a hotel shuttle going from/to... More

Excellent hotel for families with children. The pools are fine but the "beach" is not the one where Di Caprio went. It is only an entry to the sea. The service is good but we did not have really the opportunity to check them in pressure. For sure are very friendly and helpless. Awful breakfast, which tries to look good,... More
