Location is good just on the biggest beach of Praslin. Pay attention to the room you book! Room 14 and 15 are nice and beach view from the second floor and have a big private terrace. Cleaning is poor we found every day a lot of black hairs, towels are broken or unclean and most of the days the forgot... More

We only stayed here the one night due to a mix up with our reservation which had in fact been cancelled. One night was enough! We moved to Le Duc de Praslin and are still here as I write. A lucky escape we think and hence the title of this review. Village de Pecheur was clean and I am afraid... More

I will start with the positives. The location is perfect. It is located within walking distance of restaurants and cafes, and the beach is gorgeous. The restaurant area has a sand floor, which certainly adds to the atmosphere of the experience. Jane, the manager, was very friendly as was the gentleman at the front desk (whose name I am forgetting).... More

We spent extra to get an ocean view room. What we got is a view of a stack of old lounge chairs and some dead wood. Directly outside of our door is the maids work room, I thought that might be a problem but it turns out that we were up before them because the water didn’t work in our... More

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in April 2014. We were given an ocean view room as requested but it soon became apparent that the water wasn't working in our room. There were men on site trying to fix it, who after an hour assured us it was fixed but it wasn't, but when we asked if we... More

A wonderful hotel on a beach of breath-taking beauty. The staff very informative and had a wonderful positive energy. A great place from which to explore Praslin. BI was travelling alone but highly recommend this hotel for couples and families.

Nice hotel placed right on the beach. We stayed in a room with view of the beach. Not many hotels with that location on that type of beach. Good restaurant on the hotel as well. Only remark could be that not all staff was as service mined as they should. But not an issue.

We spent Christmas at the Village du Pecheur which is a small Boutique hotel split into two annexes one directly on the beach, the other across a small road adjacent to the main hotel entrance. In general the hotel was good it was originally furnished, clean and in a great location good and its good value for money for the... More

Stayed at VDP for 4 days for my honeymoon in the 2nd week of December. Although the initial reviews were a bit sketchy, the experience was quite the contrary. As soon as the staff found out I was on my honeymoon, the staff upgraded me to the Ocean view room which was awesome (size, cleanliness, decor). The breakfast spread was... More

Stayed for 3 nights, following 4 on Mahe, in a large hotel. The Village du Pecheur was a welcome change. The beach side section of the property is in keeping with the landscape and has a relaxing island feel, in keeping with this castaway vibe, the restaurant is set back from the beach slightly but has a sand floor.
