A wonderful hotel on a beach of breath-taking beauty. The staff very informative and had a wonderful positive energy. A great place from which to explore Praslin. BI was travelling alone but highly recommend this hotel for couples and families.

Nice hotel placed right on the beach. We stayed in a room with view of the beach. Not many hotels with that location on that type of beach. Good restaurant on the hotel as well. Only remark could be that not all staff was as service mined as they should. But not an issue.

We spent Christmas at the Village du Pecheur which is a small Boutique hotel split into two annexes one directly on the beach, the other across a small road adjacent to the main hotel entrance. In general the hotel was good it was originally furnished, clean and in a great location good and its good value for money for the... More

Stayed at VDP for 4 days for my honeymoon in the 2nd week of December. Although the initial reviews were a bit sketchy, the experience was quite the contrary. As soon as the staff found out I was on my honeymoon, the staff upgraded me to the Ocean view room which was awesome (size, cleanliness, decor). The breakfast spread was... More

Stayed for 3 nights, following 4 on Mahe, in a large hotel. The Village du Pecheur was a welcome change. The beach side section of the property is in keeping with the landscape and has a relaxing island feel, in keeping with this castaway vibe, the restaurant is set back from the beach slightly but has a sand floor. I... More

We stayed at Village du Pecheur for 2 nights and we couldn't wait to get out of there. The staff looks friendly at first but they were not helpful or even apologetic about all the wrong things in this hotel. We stayed in room 17, the standard room in the annex building across the road. I suggest the hotel management... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of an exchange with its sister hotel (Sunset Beach Hotel) on Mahe Island. Hence, we stayed in room 19 which is actually in the annex building opposite the hotel so there is no ocean view. However, it was still very close to the beach and the room was big. The... More

We recently stayed two nights at Village de Pecheur. It is a lovely small boutique hotel, only 19 suites. The owner is there to welcome you and attend to your every need. The rooms are HUGE with French Baroque furnishings (not quite my taste but suited to the hotel) and the bathrooms are very spacious too. The beach is beautiful,... More

Located right on the sandy beach of a beautiful lagoon this is an excellent place to spend your vacation. The rooms are spacious, the staff is extremely friendly, they meet the guests' interests with smiles and open hearts. Love the service, please come and stay here, you will never regret. The pricing is adequate to the service. Petr Ishkin petr_great@hotmail.com

I cannot recommend this small boutique hotel highly enough for anyone wanting to stay on Praslin. In my view, its location on the gorgeous Cote d'Or is the best spot on the island. The beach is only second to the stunning Anse Lazzio (a short drive away) and there are a number of restaurants (including the stunning Cafe des Arts)... More
