Wonderful days when we stayed in RdV, from the perfect booking emails to everything to the last small requests were satisfied beyond our expectations. We loved the restored ancestral home, like going home to our grandparents, but this was more royale What a treat to sleep with open windows all nights without fear of someone climbing in, this is Batanes,... Staying in Rapitan was one of the best decisions that weve made when we visited beautiful batanes last weekend. Staff were super accommodating, respectful and hospitable. We enjoyed our stay, for someone with a fast paced life in the metro, the place brought us back to reality -- that life need not be complicated. I personally love the kulambo at... More

It was indeed such a blessing to be able to get a confirmed booking at RdV. Rapitan was a reconstructed ancestral house strategically located in Basco town proper. It had 3 spacious rooms, and March being a peak season for Batanes tourism, I was not too optimistic about my chances, but thankfully, Ma'am Yolanda, who had always been most prompt... More

Booked Rapitan di Vasay because I liked its reviews from Trip Advisor. Emailed RDV for reservations for only 2 pax and immediately got a reply that a 4pax room is their only available room for our first two nights and we can transfer for the 2pax room for our last two nights. I agreed since all the homestays I checked... More

Booked at Rapitan Di Vasay (RDV) based on reviews from Trip Advisor and it was the perfect choice. Thanks to Yolanda, one of the owners of the place, booking a room was a breeze. She handled it promptly and professionally and provided answers to questions even before I could ask them. RDV is a house reminiscent of the one I... More

Others have reviewed Rapitan di Vasay and my Lola's house was never this nice but she would have liked a house like RdV. In our culture, we like to hear what others in the house are up to, so yes, the walls didn't go all the way up to the ceiling. Also, that style helps in air circulation. That's why... More

It was my third visit to Batanes and I initially wanted to book at Fundacion Pacita but it was already booked so with the help of Tripadvisor, I was able to find RDV which seem like a good place to stay. RDV makes me felt like staying in my grandmother's house in the province. The house is reminiscent of my... More

Returned to batanes w my family and rapitan didn't disappoint. (See my review from last year) We stayed 4 nights on the ground floor. My dad was with us, so the one floor (no steps) was convenient......the water dispenser and the coffee nook were there too. A surprise improvement was the room air conditioner, although we didn't need it for... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Rapitan di Vasay for 4 nights last week. The entire house was well kept. The room was spacious and had 3 big windows allowing cool breeze to come in. It also had an air-conditioning unit just in case. The bed was comfortable and there were at least 6 pillows in our... More
