This is not the cool old-fashioned I'm talking about, but the experience you'll get in a hotel 20 years ago. We booked a Junior Suite which at first lived up to the expectations, but at a second glance had few problems, the most major of which was exposed electrical wires in the shower! The room was also eerily minimalistic in... More

We stay at istron bay for four nights The location is excellent beautiful bay close to agios nikolaos very convenient . The hotel now I believe it needs serious renovation ok everything was clean and the stuff was very kind and helpful but the buildings and the pool seemed left like that for many many years.. Beside all that we... More

We stayed on the recommendation of friends who live in the area. The hotel is family owned and the staff are all local. Although the hotel claims five stars (probably was in the 1980s) it is actually more like a very good three stars. Once you look past the obviously dated design of the hotel, the true benefits become apparent.... More

We had a wonderful stay, it was a few years ago but I never took time to write a review, so I'm doing it now. It's an incredible location, you only see the sea for miles, as if you were alone in the area. The staff was really nice, even though we obviously forgot to change our watches upon arrival... More

We stayed here in May in 2012 having booked with Cachet Travel. We wanted it to be a success so although we complained to the hotel we didn't involve Cachet at the beginning of the week. Outlined are some of the problems it had: 1. The beds had very stained undercovers. Made of flock covered plastic. When we removed these,... More

We stayed here for just one night on our car tour around Eastern Crete and it was the most disappointing place we stayed. The place has fantastic potential located in a beautiful bay with the hotel tumbling down the hillside to the beach but it requires major investment to bring it up to standards acceptable for this century. We hoped... More

I noticed this hotel built on the hill side surrounding a private beach a year ago while I was driving on the mainroad from Ag.Nikolaos to Ierapetra. So we decided to stay for 3 nights this year. Well, it was even better than expected! Excellent service at the reception (especially the nice lady with the short blonde hair!). All rooms... More

It is a 70s hotel built on a hill side on top of a private beach. Perfect. Not really, the hotel realy needs a refurbishment. The only thing that they have changed from opening days is the elevator! Actually they have also disabled the main A/C (?) -Heating system in the rooms and replaced it with split units!!! The outside... More

The hotel is 10 minutes from Agios Nikolaus ( I think is the most beutiful and atrractive city in Crete). so it's quite but still not to far. The hotel is very othentic and not modern, and so are the rooms. The is amazing, The private beach is also amazing. We stayed at the hotel 5 days and were very... More
