We had booked this as our final 2 night stay, at the end of a 2 week tour of N Portugal. We had read good reviews, particularly of the restaurant. On arrival, the welcome was COOL to say the least. We had booked months earlier (Feb) & the receptionist raised her eyebrows as if to say " did you really... More

We paid top rate for what was supposed to be a 4 star hotel. The receptionist was on the telephone when we arrived. Did not look up, no eye contact, took my passport which I had put on the reception desk. Still not looked up. Room was poky , no hair dryer, no mineral water. View non existent (room 325).... More

Business associates booked me into this hotel which is set way up on the hill overlooking the river into Spain. There is a new section which is more traditional motel type rooms, but the main house and adjoining building are historic and spectacular. It was built years ago and had several uses. The adjoing building had the King stay there... More

We arrived after a busy weekend at this beautiful hotel. We were the only guests that Monday and were offered their best room with wonderful balcony and even better views across the river onto Spain. The sunset was spectacular. It was a real treat walking around the grounds as if they were ones own. The room was very comfortable and... More

The entire stay resumes to two words: 1 - Relax: Which we did, me and my girlfriend, great place to escape from work and simply forget everything. Nearby you find natural places in front of the river, very nice for photos. 2 - Nescafé: Have lunch and dinner at the Hotel restaurant and please ask for the Nescafé cake, simply... More

On the top of the hill, literally. This place is an old family manor, in a region rich with these crest-fronted small palaces. It was nicely restored, in 'old-money' style, so comfortable and elegant, you do feel like home. We were warmly welcomed, and upgraded to a suite on the main building (the original, because there is a set of... More

We had a lovely stay at the Boega Hotel. There were few guests so we had the most beautiful room in the main house. The staff was very kind, breakfast wonderful, hotel easy to locate. Hopefully your stay will be a pleasant as ours.

Rooms are spacious; Views incredible; Grounds delightful. What a great setting and the help is terrific. Be sure to stay for the family dinners, they are wonderful and the morning breakfast is super complete.

Me and my wife staid in the Boega Hotel for four nights. We were in the annexe, not in the main two buildings. The hotel is surrounded by a very nice garden with a pool and other sport facilities. And from the garden and the main buildings one can enjoy a great sight over the Rio Minho and Galicia, fantastic... More

First of all this is not a Hotel, despite now it claims to be Boega Hotel. It's a Inn. The room i''ve stayed at is a Middel House with 16 rooms, but it seems an odd building probably used before a a chicken barn or something like that. It's a bad task building not matching the main bulding neither the... More
