This place was once a stopping point for pilgrims on one of the paths to Santiago de Compostela. Today it is a hotel set in beautiful terraced grounds and with great views over the neighbouring countryside and river. The rooms are somewhat basic but very comfortable and with good free wi-fi. We stayed here a couple of nights- family gathering- a few years ago, we loved the rooms, the building and the common areas, swimming pool and gardens...the food was delicious and the service excellent. Lunch service is excellent. Reasonably priced also

We stayed here on a Sunday and so had a nice lunch with lots of locals in the lovely dining room with tiled walls and carved wood ceiling.
