Staff were very nice and friendly, we stayed in the bar area as we had our dog with us. The weather changed for the worse which left the bar area very very busy. Food was lovely. My only criticism was people standing very close to us waiting for a vacant table whilst we were eating, after finishing we were having... More

Booked en suite for 2 nights, thought accommodation was that shown on website - how wrong! On arrival shown to a different older complex (pictures not on website) with a "wet" room as described by the receptionist! No bath and a hole in the floor for drainage for the shower. Decided to upgrade at an additional cost to us to... More

Great inn with great food, has its own brewery, and lodge attached. Called in after a long day at the beach, which lay nearby, friendly staff, food was faultless, would look to visit again in the near future.

I came here with my wife to get away for a few days. The Gower is quiet and off the beaten track, in fact many roads are almost single track. Llangennith is a couple of miles inland from the 3 mile Rhossilli beach and is deserted apart from a few surfers. The Kings Head provided us with the tranquil surroundings... More

Stayed at the hotel when a family member got married at the nearby King Arthur hotel, so didn't get much chance to explore or try the pub / restaurant, but I will return as what I did see looked very nice, and the restaurant has been highly recommended by some friends. The views across to Rhossili beach were enticing and... More

We went for a very last minute type mini break taking my partners mom along as well. Upon our arrival in the evening of last thursday we parked easily on site and were met by a young lady in charge of reception duties and several other tasks, nothing was a problem, booked us in and gave us room keys/tab card... This is an unusual place as it is VERY dog-friendly and has lovely accommodation near a magnificent beach that is dog friendly all year round. This dog-friendly aspect was, for us, the overriding feature and why we chose to stay there for a weekend with our dogs. The rooms: Accommodation is in blocks separate from the main pub. Our room... Yuck! What can I say? The food was very poor; lamb curry had maybe 4 small pieces of lamb evident, it was watery, the rice unseasoned. The chips looked disgusting, pale and half cooked - really unappetising. The thai curry got really poor reports as did the fish. Fish very thin and overbattered. All out of the microwave and very... My husband and I stayed here last night and were really impressed. The room was beautiful, spacious, spotless and really well appointed. The evening meal and breakfast were lovely and really good value considering the quality of the ingredients, a lot of which are locally sourced. All staff were friendly, attentive and helpful and there is a relaxed atmosphere which... More

I strongly agree with other reviewers who have commented on the difference between the quality of the bedrooms and the pub. When we arrived we missed the sign which said where Reception was and went into the pub. It was a bit dingy and there was awful music on the juke box. However, when we went back up to Reception...
