When booking this place I was mildly put off by the review two before mine. However, I decided to use logic to filter out that review. I've been going to Andros for 25 years. The family owns a place there. Andros, like most of Greece, is mountainous. It's also been inhabited for thousands of years. There are going to be... More

This is a special place to stay in Batsi. From our room (balcony with view of sea), to the gardens, to the pool area complete with grape-arbor covered patio ---the facility is wonderful. Rena, the owner, is the heart and soul of this place. She treated us more like extended family than regular hotel guests. Villa Rena is a quiet,... More

Arrived here with two young children expecting to be close to the ocean for one, and have enough space for all of us to sleep, especially my two year old. The room was tiny and nothing like it was described to me, and I speak Greek so made all the arrangements personally over the phone!! Left our suitcases there for... More

We have stayed at Villa Rena several times, Jonny and Rena have become dear friends. Our stay was as always special, we only wish we could of stayed longer. Nothing is too much trouble and it's a great place to relax and chill by the pool.We always have our holiday September/October when the weather is always good and it's quieter... More

We (2 couples) stayed for 2 weeks at Villa Rena: our stay in paradise. The rooms, the linen and the pool were very clean. Our hosts friendly and helpful. Rena gived us all the info about the island, loaned her own car for our purchases. If their was something missing in the kitchen of something to repair Jonny or Rena... More

Well having visited Villa Rena in the past, I thought, whilst staying in Batsi, Andros, I would visit again this year with my son. On arrival, we were greeted by Rena the owner of Villa Rena in a way that only family would greet you. Rena remembered both myself and my 10 year old son from when we visited some... More

This was our third stay in Batsi, our first at Villa Rena. From when we arrived to when we left we were treated as old friends by Rena and Joni. Our room was exactly as we had hoped for, the one with the spiral staircase on the website. Everything about the accommodation was spotlessly clean: the rooms, the balcony, the... More

Villa Rena is a wonderful little hotel. I call it the definition of Greek vacations because Rena and Johnny are amazing friendly people taking care of you, preparing your coffee, hotel location is on the right place of Batsi, hotel rooms are small but each one different and unique, you climb stairs to move around, there is a great small... We had a wonderful week here at the end of August. Set in beautiful gardens with a lovely pool and friendly hosts. The apartments are small, clean and in a great location. The gardens were lovely and perfect for our two boys to roam around bug hunting. Rena and Jonny were wonderful hosts and we all had a wonderful, relaxing... More

The only place we could find in Andros the same day, during the busiest weekend of August. Decent, quiet, family hotel with small studios including very basic kitchen, a bar and a pool. Free wifi Internet in the pool area. No view from the room and no frill.

I am intrigued as to why somebody who has visited 82 destinations just go to a place with no booking at all, & expect to get a room in the busiest days of the season, or is this your normal procedure ? We only had a family maisonette that sleeps 4 people, your group of 6 adults insisted on cramming... More
