My husband and I just back from French Polynesia from our honeymoon and after reading the reviews about this hotel on the website I was really worried what we were getting ourselves into, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is about 5mins away from the airport. The rooms were quite nice and clean. We had a kettle and fridge.... more

This is a good enough hotel for an overnight stay if you've just arrived from an exhausting flight. The staff though is really unfriendly and has a terrible attitude. That's the case with the night staff and the day staff. Next time I will take my business somewhere else. more

When we first arrived to the hotel, it was 11 o'clock at night. We were tired from our long flight from NYC. We didn't want to be bothered with others trying to skip us. Too bad I didn't speak French. Although, there weren't anyone around to help us bring up our luggages. Everything seemed nice especially the front desk who... more

First - I highly recommend Tom's Cab ([-]) - I used Tom 4-5 times while on the island and he was always where we asked him to be, when we asked him to be there (actually early) - early morning, late night. Great guy and he was very fair with pricing - even drove us to a fire house on... more

We stayed here for 2 nights before going on to Moorea and one night on the way back. This was despite poor reviews when I booked it August 2008, but it was convenient to the airport and had an affordable room rate (XPF 14970 = £106 per night). It is a typical chain hotel - you could be anywhere in... more

We only stayed here one night after a long flight from the midwest. Hotel looked nothing special on the outside or the lobby and hallways (room service still not picked up since breakfast mind you its 9:00 p.m. at night). However the next morning when we woke up we saw the most incredible sunrise over Moorea in the distance Absolutely breathtaking... more

We stayed here one night after our international flight arrived at PPT before continuing on to another island. Hotel was great for this purpose as it is reasonably close to the airport with a decent restaurant on site (since you are not likely to want to go exploring after an 8-hour flight). We used Le Truck (stop right at airport)... more

The Sofitel Maeva Beach is a good hotel for staying at before/after and international flight. I think I stayed here many, many years ago in the '80's, could be mistaken, but it sure looked familiar. The rooms are nice, but not lavish, very close to the airport, and have an excellent view at sunset. The pool area is very scenic... more

We stayed here at the Hotel Maeva Beach Resort for just 1 day. We checked in at about 9:30 am and out at about 7:30pm. We had arrived on a cruise ship that morning and our flight wasn't leaving until 10:30 that night and we wanted a place to just hang out and relax for the day. This was the... more
