I have to say that I was worried that this hotel would be dissappointing after reading the mixed reviews before we got there. However, We stayed 1 night before our cruise on Star Flyer and 2 nights afterwards and had a wonderful, relaxing, time. We booked a panoramic room on the third floor and checked in after dark for our 1... more

We really enjoyed the Intercontinental. We used the Ambassador program to get an upgrade and they let us check in early from our flight that arrived at 5:30 am. The pool here was the best we saw in French Polynesia. Actually two very nice pools - one with a sandy bottom. The views overlooking Moorea from the hotel were tremendous.... more

We stayed at the I.C. Tahiti before and after our cruise on the Star Flyer. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to an ocean view room for our one-night stay prior to our cruise. It was very lovely and comfortable. For our two-night, three-day stay after our cruise, we upgraded to an over-water-bungalow.... more

Right from when we arrived, check-in was slow. We were allocated our room (and upgraded because we were Ambassador members). The ocean view room was clean, yet small. The air-conditioning never worked properly. We rung reception, and advised them, and they were going to send a maintenence person. After 2 hours, we rung again, and they said they would get... more

I booked the least expensive room category, I believe it was a King Lanai room, using my points. The room was on the small side but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. We were not able to get the room very cool with the air conditioning though—I don’t think it got cool until the morning. There was... more

We stayed at this hotel on our way to Bora Bora. Unfortunately, our plane to Tahiti arrived late in the evening (as many do) and we had to stay one night in Tahiti. Here is my advice, if you can avoid a stop over in Tahiti, do it! It's an overdeveloped island with no charm whatsoever. This hotel is 3... more

I'd read the grumbling about high prices and less-than-ideal rooms, but our three-night stay in mid-April '09 was fine. Reasonable, well-maintained room with a view of the lagoon below us and Moorea in the distance. Yeah, the furniture had the odd bump and scratch, but the bed was comfortable, the linens spotless, the balcony comfy, and all the amenities we... more

We were in Tahiti on a business/pleasure trip - yes we know we are lucky. We spent two nights at the IC Tahiti and 2 nights at the IC Moorea. Both were excellent, the staff was very friendly and spoke enought english to understand what we wanted. The breaksfast was good with great omelets and of course the view from... more

We used this hotel to tide us over from our 1:30am arrival until our flight to Bora Bora later in the day. We took a taxi from the airport. Cost 2,000 francs. Checked in without any hassles. Just as we headed off to our room a mini bus arrived with about 12 people. Obviously people who had booked transfers. So... more

My wife and I stayed at the IC Papeete just for 4 nights but we wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We were upgraded to an over water Suite which was an incredible experience. The over water suites are a bit of a walk from the main Hotel but... more
