We stayed for 2 nights in this mid-range accommodation which suited our needs before and after our day and night spent in the Wahiba desert. Being on the main road, approx. 30km from the desert and 20 from the Wadi (which we visited twice) it was just what we wanted. Though no meals were included we had a good cooked... More

We like the location since we planned to see the sand dunes and Wadi Bani Khalid. It is right off the highway and not too far from town. The room is spacious, but there is no wifi in the room, only in the hotel lobby, which was ok for us. Breakfast was not included and we didn't have dinner in... More

Traveling with two small kids, we decided not to drive the long distance to Nizwa, and spend a full day at Wadi Bani Khalid. The only place to stay close by is this rest house. The hotel is basic but very clean, staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but good. We took one of the moor expensive... More

The guesthouse is on the main road and is only really usable for a one night stopover. Although on the main road, it is set back enough so as not to be disturbed by the passing traffic. It is in an ideal location for spending a day visiting Wadi Bani Khalid before getting your head down and moving on. Accommodation... More

Location is very good to visit sand dunes desert and famous site of Wadi Bani Khalid. Room was comfortable and restaurant (dinner and breakfast) was fine. Small shop at walking distance. No credit cards accepted.

The rest house offers a simple type of accommodation. The building has two stories and is surrounded by a wall. There is free parking in the courtyard. The house is located on the busy road from Ibra to Sur at the junction to Wadi Bani Khalid. It is well signposted from Ibra but not at all from Sur. There are... More

riental Nights is located about 15km from Wilayat on the road to Sur and on the edge of Sharqiya Sands so perfect as a base if you want to see the desert but not necessarily stay in a camp. The owner Mohammed can organise a range of desert trips of varying lengths. We chose the late afternoon sunset one which... More
