I stayed here recently and wouldn't return!!! The room was cleaned daily but was in need of desperate refurbishment! Would recommend eating out as the food is very plain and wasn't much variety. The good thing was that the Beach was right next to the Hotel so wasn't far to walk and the shops were nearby!

This hotel has a unique location at the beach where windsurfers and kiters have perfect conditions. The room with seeview is not what you expect, you could not see the beach sitting on the balcony. The rock solid fence is to high. Generally, the small room needs upgrading, especially the carpet that had changed to grey color at the balcony... More

96€ per night for a room that reminds me to the rooms i had in college, a bed without proper covers, an old carpet, the tv from the 70´s and with only 4 chanels available. The bathroom is full of mold and no amenities, anyway i have traveled with my husband around the world and of that price you have... More

Firstly the location for kitesurfing is perfect. Breakfast is good. Great selection. Nice swimming pool, lobby and bar/restaurant area. The rooms are fairly run down and the hotel needs a good over haul/paint. Though due to the size I imagine it would be a fairly large job. Over all a pleasant stay, I would stay again due to the perfect... More

We stayed here because of location - right on the beach to kite and swim. Great location and easy walking distance to all the eating spots!! Especially "Flash point" great coffee & excellent lunch, with a delightful couple running it!! Beware don't wear anything white especially a white costume as the volcanic sand will make everything black. The hotel is... More

The Hotels location is good, if you go here for surfing. For the rest the Hotel is absolutelly not recommendable. Its full of Germans, ( and as a non-German thats VERY unpleasant!), the breakfast is so so, the bathroom stinks and the rooms are only cleaned once every two or three days (upon request!) Besides all of this, the views... More

We have spent some days there and we were very disappointed. The room was very dirty, we found also a beatle in our bed. On the second day we heard a guest complaining with the police because someone entered in his room (from the balcony) and stole him some stuff. The people at the reception speak German and no Spanish... More

We have been to El Med previously as my partner is a keen windsurfer, however we have stayed in a mates apartment. I miss having a swimming pool so we opted for Playa Sur. Efficient, clean and well run, the hotel is fantastically located. Well worth paying extra for a sea view room as the views are great. Room is... More

We stayed here for one night in January after a week's sailing - chose the hotel as an easy place to get to the airport from! The room was simple but comfortable, the wooden furniture reminded me of Germany - as did the breakfast buffet (yum). I was brave (or stupid) enough to jump in the swimming pool, unsurprisingly freezing... More

The staff are very accomodating, but the hotel is showing signs of neglect, DO NOT ACCEPT ROOMS ON THE GROUND FLOOR, as this hotel has a reputation for robberies, my self, and another person in the same week, the room I was in had been broken in to on numerous occasions according to the locals.
