I booked casa melati 2 months in advance and was upset to find on arrival that they had decided to move me to a studio because of a last minute booking by 'more people'. Because I was a solo traveller they had simply decided I didn't need the space of the bigger cottage which I had paid for in advance... More

Dear Alison, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We deeply regret that you had to go through that inconvenience for the first night of your stay. We made a mistake with the reservation system, so that Villa Melati was not available for the first night of your stay. We did our best to amend this mistake... More

Stayed here for 3 nights last week and was a little apprehensive because of some of the earlier Tripadvisor reviews. The place was great! Granted, it is in the middle of the island and you can not walk anywhere. You therefore need to be used to independent travel and driving around. We made a couple of brilliant day trips from... We had a lovely week at Casa Tomaren and would definitely stay again. It is very well located if you want to explore the whole island and most destinations are no more than 30 minutes away. The grounds are beautiful, especially the pool area which we really enjoyed. The pool is heated, so although its not warm, it makes a... More

Great central location which, with a car, enables you to see the whole island quite easily in a week.We were happy to be away from the resort areas of Playa Carmen and Blanca but able to get to pretty much anywhere within a 30 minute drive. The villas are tranquil and characterful, the staff friendly and the included breakfast much appreciated.... More

We stayed for a week in Casa Tomaren in house "Dewi". A really nice compact house with a fully kitted kitchen, bathroom and bedroom/sitting room. The resort itself is very small, but at the same time very big. There are just six houses, but the resort looks like it could house more than double. The result is that there is... More

After reading the last valuations here we went prepared and actually it is not the same anymore. Adding that San Bartolome seems to be always under a layer of clouds and 5 degrees colder than the rest of the island we will chose a accomodation closer to the coast next time.

We stayed for some days at this place and were very disappointed. It doesnt fulfill what the nice promotion/photos promised. Dark and moisty accomodation, very standard breakfast, the slowest wifi ever seen and overall, very bad vibes. Seems that all the time somebody was shouting at somebody, creating a really NOT relaxing ambience. Its a shame, because somebody invested a... More

We stayed for a week during x mas time in this b&b in the sari wangi bungalow. We arrived the first day very early and were offered a free breakfast. Staff is very helpfull and friendly, breakfast is ok, not too fancy but you can have different kind off eggs with your breakfast. Bungalow was spacious for the 2 off... More

What I like share about Casa Tomaren is short and simple; don’t be misled by the nice website and beautiful surroundings. This accommodation seems to have its best times in the past, probably with a previous owner/manager. The gardens and pool area are still nice and the staff is friendly, but the manager is really terrible, the houses are dirty,... More

We stayed in Casa Grande for 7 nights as an extended family group including our 4 year old. The setting is lovely and the central location great for sightseeing. It is only a 20 minute drive from the airport despite the rural feel. The reception is a little difficult to find after dark - continue walking along the path from... More
